I am submitting this complaint regarding a new safety incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe after completion of the repair associated with Recall 68C. The Recall 68C repair was completed on January 28, 2026. After that repair, the vehicle experienced new and serious operating failures. The vehicle repeatedly tripped my home charging circuit during charging attempts. In addition, the vehicle's electric mode malfunctioned despite the battery showing charge. The vehicle then experienced loss of propulsion and stalled while driving, creating a serious safety risk. Because of this incident, the vehicle was towed through Jeep Roadside Assistance and is now at Schumacher Jeep in [XXX] for diagnosis. The vehicle is currently not safely operable. Recall 78C also remains open with no available remedy. This complaint is being submitted as a new safety incident following completion of the Recall 68C repair, and it should be reviewed together with my prior ODI complaints, including ODI XXXand ODI XXX. I can provide supporting documentation, including recall records, repair records, tow documentation, and dealer information. My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE has been out of service for a total of 23 days across two separate dealer visits for battery-related safety recall repairs. The vehicle currently has two open recalls with no available remedy: Recall #78C (NHTSA #25V-766) - PHEV safety recall related to hybrid battery fire risk. Parts are unavailable. Recall #A7C (NHTSA #25V-710) - FOTA firmware update recall due to potential loss of power while driving. No fix available. During the most recent service visit (02/26/2026 through 03/11/2026, 13 days) at Town & Country Jeep in Levittown, NY, the hybrid battery was fully removed and replaced under Recall #68C. Despite the battery replacement, the vehicle sometimes stops charging when plugged in, requiring me to unplug and replug to resume charging. The two remaining open recalls have no available parts or fix. One of them (Recall #A7C) involves a potential complete loss of power while driving, which is a serious safety hazard. The 4XE model was discontinued in 2026. I am driving a vehicle with known unresolved safety defects and no timeline for a remedy. No crash or injury has occurred. No fire has occurred.
JEEP Wrangler 2024 Issues PLATE NUMBER [XXX] BIN # [XXX] To whom it may concern, I would like to request a courtesy incentive or compensation due to the repeated recalls and repair situations with my Jeep Wrangler. There have been three lengthy recall repairs this winter. The extended repair times, especially when parts are back-ordered, have resulted in wasted time and additional mileage on my lease from trips to the dealership, appointments, and test drives. The electric engine issues have been particularly concerning, as the failure has rendered the vehicle inoperable on some occasions, posing a significant safety risk. There have been instances where the vehicle has completely stopped, created a dragging effect, and failed to start in winter, while experiencing malfunctions in all electric components. My fuel consumption has significantly increased over the past three months due to these repairs, and I am no longer able to effectively use the electric engine feature. The service department has been unable to diagnose the electric engine failure after multiple attempts, and as a result, the battery is being overcharged without engaging the electric motor. There have been numerous unresolved issues and repairs that have not been successfully completed. I acquired this hybrid vehicle after considering the advertising regarding its favorable fuel efficiency and the electric rechargeable engine feature. However, this feature has not been utilized this winter due to repeated malfunctions, recalls, or a combination of both. Since late November 2025, this electric engine has consistently ceased to function. Several scheduled repair diagnostic appointments were postponed by the dealer due to a busy service schedule and a shortage of staff at the repair facility. Additionally, I need to request unpaid time off from my job, as the dealer is unable to provide a loan vehicle while my jeep is being repaired. This has caused significant inconvenience and fina INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION
Issue type: 1.) Electrical system / hybrid battery 2.) Safety recall with no remedy My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe currently has open safety recalls (78C and A7C) with no available remedy. These recalls have been open for several months. I have been advised that the vehicle may pose a safety risk, yet I am continuing to make lease payments and rely on the vehicle for transportation. The manufacturer has not provided a repair timeline or resolution. I do not feel safe operating the vehicle and am seeking assistance because the defect cannot currently be repaired.
After taking my Jeep in on January 16th for the 68 C recall I’ve had multiple issues with the jeep hybrid/engine. While driving the Jeep it suddenly becomes unresponsive even when pushing the gas pedal to the floor. After a minute the engine will start up and lurch forward. I’ve almost caused an accident multiple times. This is a huge issue and needs to be addressed. I’ve taken my Jeep back to the dealership and they don’t have any answers to why it keeps doing this. After reading multiple post on line it seems like this is a common issue following the last update.
My 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe is subject to Recall 78C (NHTSA #25V-766) regarding sand contamination in the engine. The manufacturer officially warns that this defect can cause 'catastrophic engine failure' resulting in a 'vehicle fire' or an 'unrecoverable loss of propulsion'. As of April 2026, the manufacturer has no available fix for this safety hazard. Simultaneously, the vehicle suffers from persistent electrical failures. Despite a repair attempt on March 3, 2026, where the 12V battery was replaced under warranty, the vehicle continues to display 'Aux Switches Temporarily Unavailable' errors accompanied by constant audible chiming while driving. These combined defects create an extreme and unreasonable safety risk. Because the manufacturer has admitted the engine is a fire hazard but cannot provide a repair, the vehicle is effectively unmarketable and unsafe for operation. I am currently grounded and utilizing a rental vehicle as I do not feel safe operating this Jeep.
I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN [XXX]) that is subject to a federally mandated safety recall involving the high-voltage battery system. I attempted to have the recall performed by an authorized Jeep/Stellantis dealership, Carson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Carson City, Nevada. During communications with the dealership’s Service Manager, I was informed that the dealership would not perform the recall unless I signed dealership-specific authorization documents and agreed to their internal policies. The dealership further stated that if their evaluation determined the hybrid battery required replacement, they would retain (“quarantine”) the vehicle for an extended period and would not provide alternative transportation beyond a limited initial period, requiring me to pay for a rental thereafter. I objected to being required to pay transportation costs caused by a manufacturer safety recall and to signing waivers as a condition of recall service. I made clear that I was requesting that the recall be performed. The dealership then refused further service and removed me as a customer, stating that because I would not agree to their conditions they would not perform the recall and recommending I find another dealer. I subsequently sent written notice to Stellantis / Jeep corporate headquarters explaining the situation and requesting assistance to complete the recall. Stellantis did not respond to either of my written notices. As a result, my vehicle remains subject to an unresolved safety recall despite my good-faith efforts to have the recall performed by an authorized dealer. After 68c recall vehicle on electric mode looses complete power “maximum throttle input”uphill for roughly 5-10 seconds until gas engine kicks in to support. On 2 drives after getting the vehicle back i almost got rear ended by an 18 wheeler both times
I have two open serious recalls on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe. There is a recall for the batter/charging system so I cannot plug it in to the charger I purchased for my home. I also have a continuing issue with my gas tank - it will not fill and the nozzel clicks off even though I have next to no gas in the tank. I can't charge the car, yet can't fill it with gas. I have brought it back to the dealership 3 or 4 times in the less than two years of owning the car. There is also a recall that effects the engine so I am scared to drive it on the highway. Basically I was tricked into leasing a $60,000 piece of absolute garbage. I can't get out of the lease early without having to -pay some type of penalty or losing money, which is really unfair. The company knows about these issues and took advantage of customers.
After having the 68C recall software update completed on my Jeep at an authorized dealership, I now experience sluggish and decreased acceleration (even deceleration) upon pressing the accelerator more than half way (approximately). This happened twice on hills in which I needed to increase power while in Electric mode. What happened was the jeep seemed to lose power and decrease in speed while trying to go up the hill. I continued pressing the accelerator farther down and the jeep seemed to be even more sluggish until all of a sudden the combustion engine kicked in at a very intense level and high RPM, lurching be forward, almost into the back of another vehicle. The sudden decrease in power to an even more sudden and drastic (sharp) increase felt dangerous.

Instrument cluster panel and all warning lights, fuel gage, speedometer, tire pressure, temperature sensor, etc. as well as all info on app unable to access. no warning lights which could cause crash without prior warning. controls and displays failed to illuminate and were not visible. unable to see in daylight or at night. Dealer verified internal failure in IPC, would not repair under recall, said was outside of warranty.
Instrument cluster/panel went blank; unable to tell speed, temperature control, fuel, tire pressure, blinkers, lights. unable to see controls or displays. unable to see warning lights.
Driving around town and the car just dies on me. I had my kids with me in the car this time when it happened. This is now getting scary when my car is my daily driver and I should not have to worry if I have my kids in the car when I drive it and it just dies. If my kids get hurt due to an accident from this dang recall that is taking MONTHS to get any remedy I should be able to get out of my lease with my jeep. If my kids get hurt in any way with this damn recall it my car catches fire with my kids in the back seat. I am coming full force with lawyers.. something needs to happen soon before my kids get hurt because jeep does not care about the safety of their customers. Their apology is a $100 gift card.. they need to just take them off the market and get anyone one out of their leases without any penalties.. if they do not make it right they will loose a long time customer..
I own a 2024 Jeep 4xe in Alabama with approximately 9,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to a dealership due to safety concerns related to active recalls, including Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery, as well as a second engine-related recall for which no remedy has been issued. The vehicle was checked in and a repair order was opened. Dealer diagnostic notes indicate trouble codes related to the high-voltage system, coolant heater, and EVAP system, and state that certain components “need to be replaced.” Despite this, I later received a text message stating the vehicle was “ready for pickup,” even though active safety recalls remain and it was not clearly communicated that the listed components were replaced. Because these recalls involve potential fire risk and high-voltage system faults, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, especially with children riding in it. The vehicle has remained at the dealership for almost 2 weeks with limited communication. I am currently paying for a rental vehicle out of pocket while awaiting reimbursement from Stellantis, with no clear timeline for repayment or confirmation of continued coverage. Attempts to obtain updates from both the dealership and Stellantis case management have often gone unanswered. I am submitting this complaint due to unresolved safety concerns, extended vehicle downtime, unclear repair status, and financial impact related to rental transportation.
See attached document for complaint. Sir: You are aware that this vehicle has two active Recall Notices attached to it; either of which can result in a vehicle fire, sudden loss of power, and loss of life or injury. Which means that I own an expensive vehicle which cannot be safely driven. Nor can it be traded in for another vehicle in its current condition. The manufacturer does not have an available fix for 25V-766 (engine contaminated with sand during manufacturing process); and since this defect can (in their own words) " ... lead to a catastrophic engine failure ... " it is unsafe to drive this vehicle at any speed. The other recall involves defects with the battery pack, which can lead to vehicle fire. There is no available fix for this defect either. My dealer has already attempted unsatisfactorily to correct multiple problems with the hybrid power system unrelated to the recall. Is the NHTSA planning to do anything to assist the thousands of people who own hybrid Jeep Wranglers affected by these defective systems? It would seem to me that the manufacturer should be mandated to repurchase these dangerous vehicles from the owners at market value or to provide a replacement vehicle of equal or greater value. The American drivers who own these dangerous vehicles should not continue to be put at risk any longer.
Klamath Falls Dodge Dealership and Stellantis have failed to repair the defects cited in the A7C, 68C and 78C. My vehicle is subject to sudden stops and sudden fires. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/28/2025. I filed a claim online and with certified mail with Stellantis. No action has been taken to correct the defects and the vehicle can't be driven in a safe manner.
There are currently 3 safety recalls; 2 with no remedies or repairs. Both recalls explain there is an imminent risk of safety. 1 recall has had no solution for over 60 days. I can’t use my vehicle as intended as it is recommended not to charge the battery.
I took my Jeep into the dealership for the 68C recall and when I got it back they stated they updated the software. I checked the history of the Jeep and did not see that the dealership charge the battery to 75% or do a test drive. My understanding is that these two things out of three were to be done for the recall to be completed. I just want to make sure it was done correctly. When I contacted the dealership they did not want to answer my questions about charging the HV battery to 75% or the test drive. Also according to the paperwork from the dealership it just shows "updates per recall."
