TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE FELT UNSTEADY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE CONNECTING RODS FOR THE REAR SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONTACT OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V264000 (SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
JUST BOUGHT OUR 07 E350 ON 4//7/15 AND IT HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS. GOT IT HOME AND WHEN WE GOT OUT WE COULD SMELL GAS REALLY BAD! WE COULDN'T SEE IT LEAKING ANYWHERE SO PULLED IT IN THE GARAGE AND IT STUNK UP OUR WHOLE GARAGE LIKE GAS. WE THOUGHT MAYBE THE DEALER OVER FILLED IT SO MAYBE IT WAS JUST VENTING FUMES. IT EVENTUALLY WENT AWAY. THEN ON 4/12/15 I FILLED THE TANK UP AND THE GAS SMELL CAME BACK. SO IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN IT'S A FULL TANK. THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR ALOT OF E-CLASS W211 CARS. MERCEDES-BENZ HAS RECENTLY MADE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY TO HAVE IT FIXED FOR NON-PZEV VEHICLES BUT I HAVE A PZEV VEHICLE AND THEY WON'T WARRANTY IT FOR ME! MY LITTLE GIRLS RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT THAT IS RIGHT OVER THE GAS TANK! THIS SHOULD BE FIXED PZEV VEHICLE OR NOT! *TR
I CAN SMELL A VERY STRONG GASOLINE ODOR FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR ESPECIALLY NEAR LEFT REAR TIRE WELL. ODOR DISSIPATES AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS OF NOT DRIVING BUT RECURS WHEN NEXT DRIVEN. THERE IS NO GAS DRIPPING ON THE GARAGE FLOOR. DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE ME A BUNCH OF MONEY JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND ALSO TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS. THIS IS CLEARLY A DANGEROUS DEFECT AS AN ONLINE SEARCH TURNS UP MANY COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE BEFORE AN EXPLOSION HAPPENS AND SOMEONE IS HARMED. *TR
I PURCHASED A 2007 E350 4MATIC WAGON FOR MY PARENTS JULY OF 2011 WITH 47,000 MILES. 3,000 MILES LATER, WE NOTICED A STRONG FUEL ODOR AFTER FILLING THE TANK. TOOK IT TO MB AND A FILTER AND SEALS WERE REPLACED WHICH SEEMED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. MY DAD NOTICED THE PROBLEM AGAIN THIS PAST WEEK. WE TOOK IT IN TO A CERTIFIED MB SHOP AND THE PROBLEM COULD NOT BE DETECTED USING A PRESSURIZED TEST. THE TANK WAS LOWERED AFTER BEING TOLD BY MB THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL ISSUED FOR THE ENTIRE TANK. THE PROBLEM IS, THE FULL ASSEMBLY SYSTEM FOR THE TANK IS NOT AVAILABLE AND THE ETA FOR THE PART IS UNKNOWN. UNFORTUNATELY, THE AUTHORIZED SHOP WAS TOLD THE PART WAS AVAILABLE, SO THEY ORDERED IT AND LOWERED THE TANK. THEN MB CALLED THEM BACK TO TELL THEM THE ETA WAS UNKNOWN. SO NOW, THE DILEMMA IS THAT WE HAVE NO PART, THE TANK IS LOWERED, THE SHOP NEEDS TO BE PAID FOR THE LABOR, MB HAS NO ETA ON THE PART AND MY PARENTS ARE WITHOUT A CAR. ISSUE NOW: 1. WHY WERE WE NEVER INFORMED BY MB OF THIS RECALL? 2. WHO PAYS FOR THE LABOR AT THE AUTHORIZED SHOP? 3. HOW IS IT POSSIBLE MB HAS NO IDEA OF AN ETA ON ONE OF IT'S OWN PARTS? HELP!!! WHAT DO I DO? *TR
I OWN A 2007 MERCEDES E350 AND I OFTEN NOTICE A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL IN AND AROUND THE CAR, ESPECIALLY AFTER FUELING. BASED ON INTERNET RESEARCH THIS SOUNDS A LOT LIKE THE COMPLAINTS MANY OTHER OWNERS ARE REGISTERING. I HAVE NOT DISCUSSED IT WITH A DEALER YET BUT I AM SURE ANY RELATED REPAIRS WILL BE COSTLY. I FIRST STARTED NOTICING THE GASOLINE SMELL OVER A YEAR AGO BUT IT WAS MILD AND HAS GOTTEN WORSE RECENTLY. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS AWAITING TO BE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350. AFTER REFUELING AND PARKING THE VEHICLE IN THE GARAGE, FUEL FUMES EMITTED INSIDE THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE THE NEXT MORNING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 83,000.

GAS FUMES INSIDE CAR WHEN PARKED. *TR
MY 2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350, BEGAN TO SMELL OF FUEL ON THE INSIDE AFTER A FILL UP. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO FIND OUT WHAT THE ISSUE MIGHT BE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, HOWEVER, THE SMELL OF FUEL STILL LINGERS IN THE VEHICLE. I HAVE LEFT THE WINDOWS DOWN FOR DAYS AT A TIME MONTH AFTER MONTH. I WENT AN OBTAINED SOME INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH AEROSOL AND THE SMELL STILL HAS NOT TOTALLY LEFT THE VEHICLE TO DATE.
I JUST PURCHASED THE VEHICLE USED FROM A DEALERSHIP. I DROVE THE VEHICLE 2000 MILES HOME AND I PARKED THE CAR IN MY GARAGE. I FILLED THE GAS TANK PRIOR TO PARKING IN MY GARAGE. THE NEXT MORNING I ENTERED MY GARAGE AND SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE. I COULD SEE GAS UNDERNEATH MY CAR BY THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE WHEEL AND THE ODOR OF GASOLINE WAS SO STRONG MY EYES WERE WATERING AND I COULDN'T BREATH WELL. I OPENED THE GARAGE DOOR AND MOVED THE CAR OUTSIDE(PUSHED IT OUTSIDE TO AVOID AN EXPLOSION). THE ODOR OF GASOLINE IS VERY STRONG BY THE DRIVER'S SIDE REAR COMPARTMENT. I KEEP THE FUEL TANK AT HALF FULL OR LESS TO MINIMIZE THE GASOLINE VAPOROUS SMELL. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN CHICAGO AND DROVE IT HOME TO WASHINGTON STATE. *TR

AFTER FILLING GAS TANK, STRONG SMELL OF GAS IN GARAGE, ESPECIALLY AROUND THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, AS IF THERE WAS FUEL OVERFLOW, BUT THERE WAS NO FUEL OVERFLOW AT THE FILLING STATION - DID NOT TOP-OFF TANK, STOPPED AT FIRST SHUT-OFF. *TR
THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE OVER 1/2 TANK FULL, AND FREQUENT CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON FOR AN EVAP SYSTEM LEAK. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THESE CARS, AND I AM CONCERNED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH GASOLINE FUMES COMING INSIDE THE CAR AND CREATING A FIRE HAZARD. MERCEDES KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO ADDRESS IT. *TR
SUMMER OF 2013, I CARRIED THE CAR TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THERE WAS LOUD SMELL OF GAS, THEY CHECKED IT OUT BUT SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. ON 2 NOVEMBER 2014 MY WIFE FILL THE TANK WITH GAS AND ADVISED ME THAT THERE WAS LOUD SMELL OF GAS. I CHECKED IT OUT, TOOK THE BACK SEAT UP SO I COULD SEE THE GAS TANK AND THERE WAS GAS ON TOP OF THE FUEL SENDING UNIT. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND ASK IF THERE WAS A RECALL, THEY SAID NO BUT THEY WOULD CHECK IT OUT AND REPAIR IT FOR A FEE. *TR
[THIS IS ONLY EXPLAINING THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, THIS HAS HAPPENED A PLETHORA OF TIMES SINCE] AFTER STOPPING AT A FUEL STATION AND FILLING THE FUEL TANK FROM 1/4 TO FULL, WE DROVE ON A LOCAL ROAD AT AN AVERAGE SPEED OF ABOUT 30MPH FOR APPROXIMATELY 3 MILES. AFTER THIS WE MERGED ONTO A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHERE THE AVERAGE SPEED WE WERE GOING WAS BETWEEN 60-75MPH. IT WAS AFTER DRIVING AT THESE SPEEDS FOR 10 MINUTES THAT WE STARTED TO SMELL THE ODOR OF GASOLINE IN THE CABIN. WITHOUT ANY OTHER CARS IN FRONT OF US OR ANY NOTICEABLE SPILL [ON THE ROAD] THAT WE MAY HAVE PASSED, THERE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY OTHER ORIGIN OF THE ODOR EXCEPT FOR THE E350. AT FIRST IT WAS A LOW ODOR OF GASOLINE EMANATING FROM UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT, BUT SOON A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE FILLED THE ENTIRE CABIN, TO THE POINT OF FORCING US TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS. THE SMELL DID NOT GO AWAY COMPLETELY BUT ROLLING THE WINDOWS DOWN TO ALLOW FRESH AIR TO PURGE THE CABIN DID HELP. WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP MULTIPLE TIMES AND HAVE REQUESTED A COMPLETE CHECK-UP OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALERSHIP (EURO MOTORS OF DEVON HILL, PA) HAS TOLD US THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE (FUEL SYSTEM WISE). HOWEVER, AFTER REFUELING [ESPECIALLY FROM THE TANK BEING AT 50% AND THEN ME FILLING IT TO 100%] THE STRONG ODOR RETURNS INSIDE THE CABIN. IT GOES AWAY AFTER THE FUEL LEVELS HAVE DROPPED FROM A FULL TANK TO 3/4 FULL, AFTER WHICH THE ODOR DOES NOT RETURN WHEN DRIVING THE CAR. I HAVE JUST HEARD ABOUT OTHER HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THOUGHT I WAS PARANOID. HOWEVER, IT SEEMS THAT THIS IS ENDOGENOUS BETWEEN ALL OTHER E350S. I BEGAN SMELLING GASOLINE WHEN INSIDE THE CAR. I CALLED THE DEALER TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED FOR FUEL LEAKS. THE DEALER SUGGESTED BRINGING THE CAR IN THE FOLLOWING WEEK. SO I TOOK THE CAR TO A NEARBY OIL CHANGE SERVICE COMPANY AND HAD THEM CHANGE THE OIL AND CHECK FOR A FUEL LEAK. THE OIL CHANGE SERVICE COULD NOT FIND A FUEL LEAK, BUT CONFIRMED THAT THEY SMELLED GASOLINE AND SUGGESTED I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. ON DECEMBER 10, 2014, I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY FOUND A FUEL LEAK AT THE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY THAT IS UNDER THE BACK SEAT AND THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE $649.00. AND IT WAS POSSIBLE THAT ONCE THEY REPAIRED THAT, THE LEAKING AT THE TANK MAY INCREASE REQUIRING REPLACEMENT OF THE GAS TANK. AS I WAITED FOR THE REPAIR, I SEARCHED THE INTERNET TO SEE IF THIS REPAIR WAS THE SUBJECT OF A RECALL. I FOUND THAT THIS EXACT ISSUE IS BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE NHTSA, NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: PE12001. I SHOWED THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN WHAT I FOUND ON THE INTERNET AND HE SAID ALL THEY COULD DO IS REPLACE THE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY TO SEE IF THAT WOULD FIX THE LEAK. THEY CHANGED THE TANK INNER MODULE, 211-470-60-94, FOR $264.00; 2 SEAL RINGS, 211-471-05-79, AT $39.53 EA FOR $79.06; DISCOUNTED THE LABOR FROM $343.66 TO $187.50; AND MISCELLANEOUS CHARGES AND SALES TAX, FOR A TOTAL SERVICE REPAIR BILL OF $576.03 FOR REPLACEMENT OF FUEL FILTER SYSTEM AND SEAL RINGS. AT THIS TIME IT IS UNCLEAR WHETHER THIS WILL IN FACT FIX THE PROBLEM OR MAKE IT WORSE. *TR

THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT FUEL RESERVOIR WAS CRACKED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THIS ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350. WHILE DRIVING OVER BUMPS, THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
MY 2007 E350 MERCEDES HAS A FUEL LEAK. THE LOCAL MERCEDES DEALERSHIP (EL DORADO HILLS, CA) INSPECTED THE CAR, FOUND THE LEAK TO BE COMING FROM THE LEFT SIDE FUEL PUMP AT THE FUEL TANK, ACKNOWLEDGED THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM, AND THAT MERCEDES HAD EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO COVER FUEL SYSTEM REPAIRS. SO I LEFT THE CAR TO BE REPAIRED, BUT LATER THE DEALERSHIP CALLS AND SAYS MY CAR IS A PZEV (PARTIAL ZERO EMISSIONS VEHICLE) CAR, AND THEREFORE NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY EXTENSION, EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PART THAT FAILS ON A NON-PZEV CAR THAT IS COVERED. I'VE HAD SEVERAL CONVERSATIONS WITH MBUSA ([XXX] ) AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP (SERVICE REP. [XXX]). THEY HAVE OFFERED ME A 15% DISCOUNT ON THE REPAIR. I HAVE ALREADY PAID THEM $165.00 FOR THE INSPECTION. THIS DANGEROUS DEFECT IN THE FUEL SYSTEM SHOULD BE REPAIRED FREE OF CHARGE BY MERCEDES. THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE WHEN VEHICLE IS PARKED. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY INDICATED THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE AND THE TANK SHOULD BE REPLACED. RESEARCHED THIS AND FOUND THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE THAT HAVE BEEN LODGED. THE AVERAGE BENZ OWNER PARKS THEIR CAR IN THE GARAGE. THE AVERAGE HOMEOWNER HAS A GAS WATER HEATER LOCATED IN THE GARAGE. THIS IS AN OPEN FLAME AND GASOLINE CONNECTION WHICH CAN RESULT IN AN EXPLOSION. *TR
AFTER I FILLED UP GAS AND PARKED FOR 2 DAYS, I WENT BACK TO THE CAR AND SMELLED GAS ODOR FROM THE OUTSIDE AND THE INSIDE OF THE CAR. I DROVE THE CAR FOR 78 MILES AND STILL SMELL THE GAS WHILE DRIVING. I WENT BACK AND PARKED, THE SMELL STILL OCCURRED. WHEN I CHECKED ONLINE, THERE WAS A LOT OF COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS ISSUE ( FUEL SENDING UNIT) ON THIS CAR (MERCEDES BENZ WAGON 4MATIC E 350. 2003-2009. ) THE GAS SENDING UNIT HAS LEAKED. I THINK THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NHTSA SHOULD OPEN UP THE INVESTIGATION AND CONDUCT A RECALL ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BECAUSE I HAVE TWO CHILDREN'S OF MY OWN THAT SIT IN THE BACKSEAT OF OUR VEHICLE. I WILL TAKE NO CHANCES TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AND WE STILL OWN A PAYMENT ON IT. IF THIS ISSUE IS NOT BEING INVESTIGATE, I WILL TAKE IT UP TO THE NEXT LEVEL ( NATIONAL TELEVISION). UPON EXITING THE FREEWAY AND COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AS USUAL. ACCELERATION WAS VERY SLOW AND WITHOUT POWER. UPON LOOKING AT GAUGE CLUSTER, THE VEHICLE SHIFTED ITSELF INTO 5TH GEAR IT SEEMS. USING THE PADDLE SHIFTER I THEN PROCEEDED TO DOWNSHIFT THE TRANSMISSION TO 1ST GEAR TO PULL AWAY FROM STOP. CAR REMAINED IN AUTOMATIC MODE, BUT WAS NOT SHIFTING OUT OF GEAR. CLUSTER DISPLAYS AUTOMATIC COMFORT MODE, BUT WOULD NOT LEAVE FROM WHAT IT SEEMS 2ND GEAR. STOP ENGINE AND RESTART CAR, DRIVE AROUND AND CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF GEAR. UPON SEARCHING THE INTERNET THIS IS A VERY VERY COMMON ISSUE WITH ALL 7 SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS OFFERED BY MERCEDES BENZ. THEY HAVE NOT ASSUMED RESPONSIBILITY FOR A DEFECT IN PART. MANY HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS DIAGNOSING AND REPAIRING TRANSMISSION RELATED ISSUES WHICH REVOLVE AROUND THIS SUB PAR TRANSMISSION. IF YOU SEARCH ONLINE FOR CONDUCTOR PLATE, MERCEDES YOU WILL FIND COUNTLESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE'S DUE TO THIS FAULTY PART. I HAVE A VERY NOTICEABLE GASONLINE ODOR IN THE CABIN OF MY CAR AFTER EVERY GAS FILL UP. IT'S SO STRONG I GET HEADACHES SOMETIME. I THINK THIS WOULD BE A FIRE HAZARD WITH THIS LEAKY GAS GETIING TO OTHER ELECTRIC COMPONENT IN THE CAR. I'VE ONCE A FIRE IN THE INTAKE MANIFOLD COUPLE YEARS AGO. THE TOTAL REPAIR COST CAME OUT TO BE MORE THAN $4,000 FROM PENSKE MERCEDES IN WEST COVINA.
I FILLED UP THE GAS, TOOK A SHORT DRIVE HOME, AND PARKED IN THE GARAGE. NEXT DAY, THERE IS A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL IN THE GARAGE AS WELL AS INSIDE THE CAR. THIS HAPPENED WHENEVER I FILLED UP THE GAS SINCE THEN.

MY CHILDREN & I HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS WHILE DRIVING DUE TO FEELING NAUSEA. THIS HAS OCCURRED OFTEN FOR WEEKS. LAST THURSDAY ON 8/7/14 I WAS DRIVING VEHICLE COMING TO A SIGNAL LIGHT AT AN INTERSECTION AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING LIKE IS WAS LOOSING POWER, THEN IT SHUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AT THE INTERSECTION. I TRIED STARTING IT BACK UP AND IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL AFTER CRANKING FOR FEW SECONDS LOOKING LIKE IT WAS NOT GETTING FUEL AT ALL. I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED, THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP AND IT WILL COST $2000 TO REPLACE. THIS SEEMED EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS FOR CAR SAFETY HAVING TO SMELL THE FUMES AND ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. BOUGHT CAR NEW AND LOVE IT. BUT LAST WEEK THE RIGHT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FAILED. I HAD LEFT AND RIGHT H7 STANDARD LOW BEAM HALOGEN BULBS CHANGED SINCE THE FRONT BUMPER HAS TO BE REMOVED. LATER THAT DAY THE NEW LEFT SIDE H7 FAILED. SO MY MECHANIC EXPLAINED THAT THE HELLA LIGHT FIXTURE SEEN IN MB, BMW, ETC.. COMMONLY HAVE PREMATURE DISINTEGRATION OF WIRING INSULATION. THEY PULLED BOTH LIGHT FIXTURES, SHOWING ME THE BARE WIRES INSIDE BOTH FIXTURES. THE MB WIRING HARNESS WAS UNAFFECTED. FOR THE COST OF ABOUT $1200 I REPLACED BOTH HELLA HEADLIGHT FIXTURES. I REVIEWED BMW AND MB FORUMS ONLINE AND IN BOTH THERE ARE SIMILAR DISCUSSIONS ABOUT HELLA WIRE INSULATION FAILURE IN HEADLIGHTS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS AND EXPENSIVE ISSUE. FROM THE FORUMS IT SEEMS THAT FIRES HAVE OCCURRED. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AUTO ACCIDENTS HAVE HAPPENED WHEN NIGHT LIGHTING HAS FAILED. AT A MINIMUM THERE HAVE BEEN MANY EXPENSIVE REPAIRS THAT SHOULD BE PART OF A RECALL. I DID NOT CONTACT MERCEDES BENZ BECAUSE THIS SEEMS TO BE A GLOBAL PROBLEM WITH A AUTOMOTIVE PARTS SUPPLIER AND NOT SPECIFIC TO MB OR THE E CLASS. *TR

FOUND INTAKE MANIFOLD FAULTY AND CAM ADJ MAGINET. NOT REPAIRED-$3000 QUOTED. DROVE IT HOME WHERE IT REMAINS. SEARCHES ON INTERNET SHOWS THIS DEFECT IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. ALSO CAR RIDES ROUGH; ALL FOUR WHEELS ARE BENT DUE TO REGULAR ROAD WEAR AND TEAR. BOTH THESE ISSUES COULD HAVE CAUSED CATASTROPHIC CONSEQUENCES. I AM NOT THE FIRST OWNER OF THIS MB. WERE MB AWARE OF THESE DEFECTS AND FAILED TO INFORM ME PRIOR TO PURCHASING THE E350? THE MANUFACTURER NEEDS TO REMEDY THESE DEFECTS. *TR
