I was driving home from Fargo ND to Fergus falls MN on Christmas Eve when a gust of wind blew me out of the tracks into the slush. My car slid of the road on the left side where I hit a guard rail with the front driver’s side hitting first. I bounced of the rail and drove it back on the road. The airbag never did deploy. I have a doctor appointment for my left hip on the 8th because it's hard for me to put on a sock. I have a police report and pictures but it will not let me upload them.

I CALL MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIPS TO SCHEDULE A FREE IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL FOR THE DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG INFLATOR REPLACEMENT, ACCORDING TO NHTSA IS DUE FOR REPLACEMENT, BUT WORKERS AT THIS LOCATION HANG UP THE PHONE, TELL ME TO WAIT 1 SECOND AND DISSAPEAR MAKING ME WRITE THIS PARAGRAPHS BECAUSE MY SAFETY IS #1 PRIORITY. THEY WANT ME TO LEAVE MY VEHICLE IN THEIR PROPERTIES FOR 3 DAYS FOR A SIMPLE 2 HOUR JOB AND THAT IS REALLY UNACCEPTABLE, ONLY BECAUSE ITS FREE DONT MEAN I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS NONSENSE. THE VEHICLE RUNS AND WORKS FINE BUT IN AAN EVENT OF A CRASH GOD FORBIDDES, I WOULDNT WANT EXPLODING AIRBAG FRAGMENT TO BE THE CAUSE OF MY DEATH AND IM URGING TO GET THIS REPLACED ASAP BUT LAZY WORKER WHO DONT LIKE THEIR JOB SHOULD BE FIRED TO OPEN UP POSITION FOR PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATE THEIR JOBS. NOW I DONT KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THIS SITUATION IM STUCK KNOWING THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR AN AIRBAG EXPLOSION DEPLOYING AND RISKING MY LIFE AT THE HANDS OF INCONMPETENT WORKERS WHO DONT REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT RECALLS REALLY ARE. Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V158000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. SHORTLY HAVING THE AIRBAG REPLACED UNDER RECALL, THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT BECAME ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER SAID IS WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL WORK AND THE SYSTEM WAS SHOWING FAULT CODES FOR THE CRASH SENSOR, DEPLOYMENT, AND PRETTY MUCH EVERY CIRCUIT.

THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER (SELLERS SEXTON FORD, 341 VFW MEMORIAL DR, ST. ROBERTS, MO) WAS NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY SERVICED PER AN UNKNOWN TAKATA RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS NOTICES FROM FORD ABOUT AIRBAG RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE. I RECEIVED THE LAST NOTICE REQUESTING I CONTACT MY DEALER.LOU FUSZ FORD, CHESTERFIELD, MO, AND GAVE THEM THE INFORMATION IN THE NOTICE ABOUT NOW BEING ABLE TO ORDER MY NEW AIRBAGS FOR THE MILAN. I JUST CHECKED WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE ORDER PLACED FOR THE NEW AIRBAGS AND CANNOT LOCATE ANY ORDER ASSOCIATED WITH MY VIN. THIS IS NOW GOING ON 2 YEARS WAITING FOR THE FIX . EVERYDAY OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR.

THE RECALL WAS IN JUNE 2016. AS OF LAST WEEK THE LOCAL FORD DEALER STILL CANNOT PROVIDE ME WITH NEW AIRBAGS. WHAT A TRAVESTY!!

WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE CAR STARTED TO SPUTTER AND WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED. I TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC WHO RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND GAVE ME THE CODES TO TAKE TO A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE SENSOR SWITCH FOR BOTH REAR BREAKS WHERE REPLACED. A WEEK LATER SAME THING HAPPENED. IT IS CURRENTLY DOING THE SAME THING. THE BREAK SYSTEM LIGHT IS COMING ON AND THE CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHT. NOBODY SEEMS TO BE ABLE TO FIX IT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, ON PRIVATE STREETS WHEN THE CAR STARTS TO SPUTTER AND I HAVE TO TURN IT OFF AND ON AT LEAST 3 TIMES BEFORE IT WILL PICK UP SPEED AND GO.
