THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP, THE PEDAL WAS ABNORMALLY RESISTANT AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND. THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF AND WHEN RESTARTED, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.
