2004 NISSAN QUEST. CONSUMER STATES SAFETY PROBLEM WITH THE POWER WINDOWS AND POWER DOORS *TGW THE CONSUMER STATED THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW WOULD NOT STAY CLOSED. WHEN THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER, HE WAS INFORMED TO FIX THE PROBLEM IT WOULD REQUIRE REPLACING THE MOTOR, WHICH WOULD BE VERY EXPENSIVE. THE CONSUMER DECLINED THE REPAIR. LATER ON, THE WINDOW REVERTED BACK TO ITS PROPER CLOSING PROCEDURE AND OPERATED AS IT WAS DESIGNED. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER'S WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE AUTOMATICALLY AND THE CONSUMER WAS FORCED TO HOLD DOWN THE BUTTON MANUALLY. THE DOOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WOULD NOT CLOSE COMPLETELY. IT WOULD STOP ABOUT HALF WAY. THE CONSUMER HAD TO PHYSICALLY PUSH THE DOOR CLOSED WHICH LASTED FOR WEEKS. THEN, SUDDENLY THE DOOR BEGAN CLOSING CORRECTLY WITHOUT ANY ATTEMPT AT REPAIR. THE SLIDING DOOR ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DIDN'T FUNCTION AS IT SHOULD. IT ALL STARTED WHEN THE CONSUMER'S GRANDSON WAS EXITING THE VEHICLE BY PUSHING THE OPEN BUTTON FROM THE INSIDE. AS HE WAS GETTING OUT, THE DOOR REVERSED ITSELF BEFORE IT OPENED COMPLETELY AND BEGAN CLOSING, HITTING HIM AND WOULDN'T STOP AS IT WAS SUPPOSED TO WHEN MEETING AN OBJECT. FORTUNATELY, HE WAS ONLY FRIGHTENED, BUT NOT INJURED. THE DOOR CONTINUED TO MALFUNCTION, SO THE CONSUMER NO LONGER USED IT ANYMORE. THE CONSUMER REFERENCED RECALL # 04V186000. HOWEVER, HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *JB
FAILURE OF AUTOMATIC DOORS, MIRRORS AND MOON ROOF BEGAN FROM THE MOMENT WE DROVE VAN OUT OF LOT. DAILY WE HAVE ISSUES WITH ONE OF THE ABOVE PROBLEMS. HAVE TAKEN TO 3 DIFFERENT DEALERS TO HAVE PROBLEMS RESOLVED AND EACH TIME ARE TOLD THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING. *TR
SUN VISOR ON 2004 NISSAN QUEST IS NOT FOLDING ALL THE WAY TOWARDS TO WIND SHIELD. WHAT HAPPENS, LEFT SIDE OF THE VISOR MADE INCORRECTLY AND IT IS CATCHING THE SIDE COLUMB OF THE VEHICLE AND CONSEQUENTLY IT STAYS ALMOST IN THE MIDDLE. THIS IS A GREAT SAFETY CONCERN AND IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN SUN SHINES FROM THE FRONT SIDE
THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A PROBLEM SINCE THE FIRST DAY I TOOK DELIVERY OF IT. IT SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH THE AC/HEATING SYSTEM. ON DAYS WHEN IT IS ABOVE 65 DEGREES HOT AIR CONTINUOUSLY BLOWS THROUGHOUT THE CENTER VENTS. I HAVE ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE WITH THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THERE IS NO FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING THIS TO HAPPEN. *JB
THE GLASS SUN ROOF LEAKS, CAUING WATER TO ACCUMULATE IN THE REAL WELL. THIS ACCUMULATION OF WATER CAUSES THE AUTOMATIC LIFT GATE TO FAIL (SHORT OUT). THE SUN ROOF ALOS LEAKS INTO THE CAR PASSENGER AREA DRIPPING ON THE PASSENGERS IN THE MIDDLE ROW. THERE IS WATER DAMAGE SEEN ON THE INSIDE ROOF OF THE VAN & MAY CAUSE MOLD & MUST SMELL.**AK
DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS WILL NOT STOP ONCE CONSUMER RAISES THEM. DEALER FOUND NO DEFECTS, HOWEVER THE MECHANIC'S FINGER WAS CAUGHT.*AK
SLIDING DOORS RATTLES AND NOISY. THIRD SEAT WINDOWS WHEN OPEN RATTLES AND NOISY. REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER DOES NOT CLEAN. *NM
WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH SKYLIGHT WINDOW IMPLODED INTO THE VEHICLE AND ONTO THE CHILDREN SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT.*AK
VENTILATION SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT BLOWS HOT AIR ON ALL SETTINGS WITHOUT THE AIR CONDITIONING ON. NISSAN ACKNOWLEDGES THE PROBLEM EXISTS ON THIS MINIVAN BUT SAYS THERE IS NO FIX FOR IT. *AK
WINDSHIELD WASHERS WILL NOT SPRAY WATER ONTO THE WINDSHIELD WHEN VEHICLE IS MOVING. THE WATER HITS AT THE BASE OF THE WINDSHIELD. WORKS FINE WHILE VEHICLE IS NOT MOVING. WAS TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE 70 WHEN A TRUCK SPRAYED SLUSH ONTO THE WINDSHIELD. WAS UNABLE TO WASH THE WINDSHIELD. HAD TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY IN BAD WEATHER TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD.*AK
THE WINDSHIELD WIPER FLUID SPRAYED TOO LOW, CAUSING IMPAIRED VISION. THE CAUSE HAS NOT YET TO BEEN DETERMINED. *AK THE DEALER TRIED TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BY REPLACING THE NOZZLES BUT THAT DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE PART HAS BEEN REPLACED TWICE. THE CONSUMER BELIEVES THE NOZZLE NEEDS TO BE REDESIGNED. THE STORAGE LID WARPED AND AS A RESULT THE LID IS NOT FLUSH WITH THE DASH. *NM
WINDSHIELD WASHER SPRAY TOO LOW, NOT HITTING WINDSHIELD HIGH ENOUGH TO DO ANY GOOD. WIPERS NOT ABLE TO CLEAN WINDSHIELD AT SPEEDS ABOVE 45 MPH. *JB
WINDSHIELD WASHERS ON NISSAN 2004 QUEST ARE INEFFECTIVE. THE SPRAY DOES NOT REACH THE GLASS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE DEALER ALSO CONFIRMED THE SAME MODELS ON THEIR LOT ALSO HAD THE PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, AFTER A LIGHT SNOWFALL, THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THEY RECEIVED 3 COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER OWNERS. THE DEALER HAS NOTIFIED NISSAN. *LA
POWER DOORS , LIFTGATE, AND SUN ROOF OCCASIONALLY FAIL TO OPEN AND CLOSE.*AK
MINIVAN: 2004 NISSAN QUEST THE REFLECTION OF THE DASHBOARD ON THE FRONT WINDOW OBSTRUCTS THE DRIVERS VIEW. THIS REFLECTION IS SO CLEAR THAT YOU CAN EVEN SEE THE COLOR OF THE DASHBOARD IN THE REFLECTION.
REAR DOOR, BOTH SLIDING SIDE DOORS HAVE A RECURRENG RATTLES,SQUEAKS AND CLUNKS. NOTICED THE PROBLEM AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE A FEW MILES, DEALER TRY TO FIXED, BUT AFTER A FEWS DAYS THE PROBLEM COME BACK. I WANT THE NISSAN TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE, I'M CONVINCED THE PROBLEM WILL NOT GO AWAY.
