I stopped for red light and waited for about 2 minutes for light to turn green. I took my foot off the brake pedal and put it on the gas pedal. Truck refused to go forward. Message in IP flashed ad stated to go into to park then back to drive. I failed on first attempt and had to do the procedure again to get truck to move forward. I think this is equivalent to stalling out at a stop. This has happened to me about 4 times total, 2 times today. No warning lights stay ,like a check engine light. Luckily haven't been rear ended yet. unable to take picture since i have to get truck going in traffic. If my wife was driving she might panic and be stalled out in traffic.
Transmission continues to shift poorly - will not shift to 8th at speeds over 55 MPH, drops from 8th to 7th continuously. Has been to the shop 2 May 2025 - flashed the transmission, 8 Sep 2025 flashed the transmission, 20 Jan 2026 updated transmission. Updates work for short periods of time. Truck only has 11769 miles
Vehicle has experienced multiple incidents of sudden loss of propulsion, including at highway speeds. Engine revs when accelerator is applied but vehicle does not accelerate, as if in neutral. Multiple warning lights illuminate, including “Service Transmission.” I narrowly avoided a rear-end collision. Diagnostic codes recorded include U0402 (invalid data from transmission control module) and U1003 (CAN communication fault). Vehicle has required towing for one incident and multiple service visits with no permanent fix. This is a safety concern 11/3/25 Loss of propulsion at highways speeds 11/28/25 Loss of propulsion 1/10/26 loss of propulsion at highway speeds
There have been systemic cylinder misfires (each cylinder), anomalous electrical architecture behavior, and transmission calibration irregularities. The check engine light indicated multiple cylinder misfires, which I understand from the dealer is a common issue with the 2025 model. As the driver, there are a few major issues: Chassis Vibration-pronounced shaking or shuddering transmitted through the steering wheel and seat, particularly during the first engine start of the day or idling. Idle Instability-An erratic or surging idle, where the tachometer needle fluctuates noticeably without any throttle input. Throttle Hesitation-A distinct stumble, lethargy, or loss of power when attempting to accelerate from a stop or while merging. It also requires more energy to accelerate, and stops faster. This problem has been addressed at three (3) CDJR dealerships now, and is still ongoing. The car only has 26k miles on it.
This vehicle has less than 3,000 miles on it and has been in the shop at least three times for a recurring issue with the transmission "lunging" and "clunking hard upon down shift and upshift (automatic). The electrical system and computer are confused and cause the vehicle to literally stop and not engage in gear while driving! Today, the truck was in DRIVE awhile I was sitting at a light in heavy traffic. When I hit the gas at light change, the truck revved up but did not go! I was almost hit from behind as I had no brake lights indicated. Additionally, I kept getting a flashing gear selector indicator knob saying to put the TRUCK IN PARK AND SELECT THE DRIVE OPTION. I did but it still wouldn't go. I then got a software update light on the screen and the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT came on. I finally had to literally wave people around me in traffic as I was stalled out. I turned the truck off, restarted and it moved forward BUT at a high RPM. I have parked the truck but the dealer service is full up until late in the week and RAM CARE representatives were foreign and did not speak English well (I could not clearly understand them in my emergency call). Dealer is unwilling to act decisively to a life or death situation (opinion mine). SO we need to ensure we don't get killed or injured (God forbid) and IF there is a serious incident with this vehicle, there is documentation to attest it has been "serviced" several times for the electrical system fluctuating, the transmission dropping, and the engine not engaging the power train while driving. Attaching a PHOTO of the CURRENT Dash Lights (Warnings on the Left) and check engine light being on AFTER I got the vehicle re-running.
Transmission has a delay when acceleration. This happens when i start to take off from being at a complete stop or.when i pull into traffic. Took it to dealer and they said they are aware of this issue. They did a relearn to the system but problem is still happening. This happens every day.
Truck randomly will go into neutral after being placed in gear and moving. I will place the vehicle in drive to exit my driveway. It has happened twice at the exact same spot/conditions. As I turn out of my driveway and begin to accelerate the truck will tell me to put shifter in park and select gear. The truck places itself in neutral. You must come to a stop, put in park then back to drive and continue on. This is extremely dangerous if it were to happen at the wrong time! Fortunately I live on a back road with little traffic but if it happens in a bust intersection there will very likely be an accident.
I purchased this new vehicle on the morning of Saturday, June 14, 2025. At the time of purchase the vehicle had just 25 miles on it. The drive home from the dealership was about 87 miles. A few miles from home, the truck began to shake violently when the gas pedal was pressed. The engine or transmission light was on. The faster the truck went, the harder it would shake. The shaking stopped when there was no pressure on the gas pedal. The shaking was so severe that it was very difficult to drive over 30 mph. I called my salesman and he recommended that I try to “reset” the vehicle by stepping away from the vehicle so it cannot link with the FAB for 10-15 minutes. I did so and came back. The truck started fine but it was shaking while idling. There was no difference driving the truck after the “reset”. It would still shake severely when the gas pedal was pressed. We also discovered that the ring around the Start/Stop button was loose. A tow truck to picked up this vehicle on the same day it was purchased and towed it back to the dealership. The dealer had the truck from Saturday, June14, 2025 and they returned it on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, stating there was a "circuit pin" that was broken. The very next day on Thursday, June 19, 2025, the check engine light came on. Pressing the brake pedal made an odd sound, like bubbles or a gargling noise, even while idling. This noise was not there before. While driving the vehicle, the shaking was very mild but the truck shifted hard. Once, when I was accelerating, there was a loud “pop” that occurred in the truck. Immediately, the dash displayed “See User Manual for Proper Oil and Fuel” and it never went off. After the pop, the truck had a very hard time increasing speed. When I drove off from a stop sign or after I was stopped at a traffic light, the engine would rev high, 3000 – 5000 RPM, and the truck would not move for a few seconds. Then it would very slowly increase speed.
2025 Ram 1500 V6 eTorque hydraulic tensioner for MGU belt caused belt to break while traveling out of state from NY to NC. This caused the battery waning light to come on and also the CEL. Vehicle would not charge and would not run properly, all advanced safety features diminished. Vehicle brought directly to Dodge dealership in Laurel MD during incident. Vehicle was repaired on 6/6/2025 at Dodge dealership in MD. While traveling home to NC from MD on [XXX] Amp meter was not functioning, vehicle would not shift out of 7th gear with cruise control on, gas mileage has decreased to 10-12 miles per gallon at highway speeds and vehicle has poor engine power, all while driving on [XXX]. Total mileage on vehicle is 6600 miles. Ram care is no help, Case # with Ram care is [XXX]. Have not been able to speak with anyone about a resolution, nor have I been able to speak with the assigned case manager at all despite numerous phone calls, voicemails and emails. The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated that upon accelerating from a complete stop, the engine revved up, but the vehicle failed to exceed 5 MPH. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while in traffic on four occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
This has occurred twice in the last 2-3 months. I was at a 2-way stop and after I stopped and started to pull into a cross-traffic opening, the transmission seemed to disengage momentarily (for approximately 1-2 seconds) leaving me unable to accelerate out of the way of oncoming traffic which causes the other drivers to rapidly close the distance between themselves and my vehicle before the transmission will unexpectedly re-engage causing a sudden rather violent jerk of the entire vehicle. The jerking was so violent and the other vehicle so close that I pulled over in one of the instances to verify that I hadn't been actually rear-ended. As I stated above, the problem has already occurred twice. No, the dealer has not yet evaluated the situation. I plan to take it into the dealer next week and mention the issue. No, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or others listed. In neither case was there any warning lamps or messages. The "additional Details" below are for the most recent event.
I was backing up in traffic and when I turned the truck to drive it would not shift into drive. The truck reved up like it was in neutral or park and wouldn’t move forward. I had to put the truck in reverse again and then back in drive a second time to get it to shift into drive. This incident almost caused a wreck, because the truck would not shift into drive and move. The traffic coming from behind had to stop to keep from hitting me because the truck wouldn’t shift into drive and move forward.
The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred six days after the vehicle was purchased. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with multi-engine misfire, DTC: P0300. The contact was informed that a software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired. In addition, the contact stated the software had been updated twice; however, the contact was informed that the software update was a temporary fix. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The dealer declined to update the software another time. Additionally, the dealer declined to buy back the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 487.
During winter, while driving down the highway, the vehicle suddenly stopped driving, like the transmission got stuck between gears or slipped out of a gear, the engine was still on and had power. After the dealership looked into the issue we were told that it is a known issue and there is not a fix at the time.
