Rear passenger seatbelt behind driver's seat detached from the vehicle. My daughter was riding in the seat with the seatbelt fastened and it suddenly releases. She thought it had become unbuckled somehow, but it actually it had separated from the vehicle where it should have been bolted into place. There were no warning signs if impending failure. My daughter's life was put at risk if there had been an accident or I had to stop abrubtly. The vehicle is in for repairs now. I am having them inspect all seat belts in the vehicle. I have very little confidence concerning my safety and that of my passengers.
6-month-old truck, a seat belt anchor (the connector + bolt) came loose under normal use. That component is part of the vehicle’s restraint system and is designed to stay secure for the life of the vehicle.
Hello! car in question was involved in a car accident 12/23/2025- with over $38,000 in repairs, damage frame and heavy front end damage the air bags DID NOT deploy. We are extremely concerned and honestly upset that the unit that is meant to protect didnt do its job. Although there was no injuries but the amount of force of the impact is concerning
My vehicle had issues from the first day. I purchased the car on the day of delivery. The vehicle had a check engine light since then the vehicle has been repaired six times at the dealership and still has issues.
Every time my wife sits in her passenger seat the SOS warning goes off like it’s trying to call for help, but the call doesn’t go through. Thankfully because there is never a problem, and now the airbag warning is saying it’s not working. Our dealership said the part needed was on back order and they couldn’t get it any faster unless we called customer support. Which is what I thought they were! It was then expedited. On top of all this we are traveling from clear across the country.
Front Airbags deployed without collision. Vehicle shut off and called police. Driver got severe laceration on face from driver airbag projectile. Vehicle was brought to RAM dealer and they recommended replacing all airbag components including ORC. The ORC did not have stored collision data. Attempted to open case with RAM/stellantis but they closed the case without investigating. THIS IS THE SECOND DEPLOYMENT WITHOUT A COLLISION.
My [XXX] [XXX] son was sitting in the middle back seat after a soccer game. We were in drive thru for dinner and he leaned over and the seat belt with anchor and clip was still attached to the rest of seat belt. The clip and anchor part literally separated from the truck, as in unbolted or something (see attached pictures). This is frustrating because my son’s life was in danger and for how long has this belt been like this? How many other peoples’ lives have been in danger? This brand new truck has had its fare share of problems and broken equipment. We have owned about 7 or 8 Ram trucks. I will never buy another Ram again. The side airbags went off while driving with no impact. Driver sustained minor cuts and bruises from seat and curtain airbag. The vehicle shut off and automatically began calling the police. The vehicle was inspected by the RAM dealer and they refused to repair the vehicle stating that the vehicle detected a rollover (This did not happen). The insurance company found that the truck's airbag system was defective and required replacement of the faulty impact sensors. There were no warning lamps prior to the incident.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
