TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHOOK AND VIBRATED WHILE EXCEEDING 65 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT AT ANOTHER DEALER. WE TOOK YOU VEHICLE TO THE DEALER PURSUANT TO RECALL NOTICE V06 TO HAVE THE DRAG LINK REPLACED. A TEMPORARY FIX WAS PERFORMED DUE TO THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REQUIREMENTS. THE TEMPORARY FIX HAS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO WEAR OUT THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE EVERY 2000 MILES DUE TO THE CAMBER BEING SEVERELY OUT OF ADJUSTMENT. THE DEALER REFERRED US TO CHRYSLER CARE AND CHRYSLER CARE REFERRED US TO YOUR OFFICE. WE NEED CHRYSLER TO COMPLETE THE SAFETY RECALL REPAIR TO OUR VEHICLE.
VEHICLE REAR END SHAKES VERY BADLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. VEHICLE ALSO SHAKES AT LOW SPEEDS BUT NOT AS BADLY. DEALERSHIP REPLACED BOTH REAR OUTER TIRES, PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. VEHICLE PASSENGER SEAT SHAKES VERY BADLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AT LOWER SPEEDS THE VEHICLE PASSENGER SEAT SHAKES AND SQUEALS.
THE BRAKES ARE VERY SOFT AND THE TRUCK LEANS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. DRIVERS SIDE REAR SITS 1 INCH LOWER AND THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE IS 1/2 LOWER THIS LEANING ISSUE CAUSES THE TRUCK TO HANDLE DIFFERENT WHEN TURNING RIGHT WHILE DRIVING.
My 2018 Ram 3500 has had a bad vibration in it since I purchased it with 20,000 miles on it. I have tried 3 different sets on tires and a new set of wheels. The vibration causes the seats, mirrors and anything not secured to shake really bad. I have taken it to 4 different shops with no luck in repairing. This has been an ongoing problem. I believe I have narrowed it down to the driveshaft, leaf springs, or the factory air suspension. Very disappointing for an $80,000 vehicle!
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
