I APPLIED A VERY FAST PUMPING OF THE BRAKE TO SLOW VEHICLE WHILE IN ACCELERATING TRAFFIC LANE. TRAVELING ONLY ABOUT 25 MPH, ATTEMPTING TO DISTANCE MYSELF FROM VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME THAT WAS ACCELERATING MORE SLOWLY THAN WHAT I WAS ANTICIPATING, THE VEHICLE BEGAN ALARMING AND THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD EMERGENCY LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING. RECEIVED WARNING THAT THE ESC NEEDED TO BE CHECKED, THEN WARNED TO TAKE TO DEALER IMMEDIATELY. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OFF THE HIGHWAY; AT THAT POINT, CAR UNDRIVEABLE. AT THE DEALER, CHIEF TECHNICIAN ADVISED ME THAT THE SKID CONTROL RELAY SWITCHES REMAINED ON AFTER THE CAR WAS POWERED OFF AND ESSENTIALLY MELTED. COST OF REPAIR WAS $3700. DEALER WAS WILLING TO PAY HALF OF THE INVOICE BASED ON "GOOD WILL". THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO INDICATED THAT THE ABS ACCUMULATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. STARTED CAR UP AND "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" SIGNAL COMES ON, AFTER DOING RESEARCH TURNS OUT THOUSANDS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE. IT DOES NOT SHOW UP ON A COMPUTER. I CONTACTED TOYOTA AND THEY TOLD ME IT WILL COST 2,800. I FEEL THIS IS AN ISSUE THEY KNOW ABOUT BECAUSE SOME CUSTOMERS SAY THEIR REPLACEMENT PART LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE REGULAR. NOW THE CAR SHAKES WHEN IT BRAKES. *TR
INITIAL BURNING SMELL COMING FROM DRIVER DOOR. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED ON, THERE WERE VISIBLE FLAMES APPEARING IN THE CONTOL BUTTONS OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER MASTER SWITCH. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 20 MPH, THE VSC WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AS THE BRAKES FAILED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VSC SYSTEM FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 210,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

IN ADDITION, THE ABS AND VSC WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. AS I WAS SLOWING FOR A STOP SIGN, THE CHECK VSC SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TO PUSH HARDER ON THE BRAKES THAN I NORMALLY DO. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND AFTER A SHORT TIME RESTARTED IT AND THE CAR PROCEEDED NORMALLY. ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER AS I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPH, THE BRAKE, VSC, AND ABS WARNING LIGHTS ALL CAME ON. I PULLED INTO A TURN LANE AND SLOWED TO A STOP. AGAIN I HAD TO PUSH THE PEDAL HARDER THAN NORMAL. *TR
FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS HAVE NOTICED THE BRAKE PEDAL "PULSING" ON STARTING THE CAR AND SOMETIMES ON STOPPING AT INTERSECTIONS. THEN THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILST DRIVING BUT WITH NO IMPACT ON THE BRAKES AND THEN WHILST EXITING THE FREEWAY ALL THE BRAKE WARNINGS LIGHTS AND CHECK VSC SYSTEM MESSAGE WAS DISPLAYED WITH LOSS OF ASSISTED BRAKING. TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT ON BRAKING TO ENTER THE INSPECTION BAY ALL WARNING LIGHTS WENT OUT. TOYOTA TECHNICIAN COULDN'T FIND AN ERROR CODE IN THE HISTORY AND AFTER DRIVING 15 MILES THE WARNING LIGHTS DIDN'T COME BACK ON. TECHNICIAN DID COMMENT THAT THEY'D HAD OTHER CAMRY HYBRIDS WITH SIMILAR ISSUES AND SAID THE ABS ACTUATOR NEEDED REPLACING AT A COST OF $3,400! I WAS TOLD THAT TOYOTA ARE USING A DIFFERENT PART ON LATER MODEL CAMRY HYBRIDS WHICH IN ITSELF SEEMS AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THE PART IS FAULTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD AREA CLOSEST TO THE WINDSHIELD WAS MELTING, CAUSING THE MATERIAL TO BECOME VERY STICKY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT BECAUSE OF THE STICKY SUBTANCE, THE LIGHT REFLECTS OFF CAUSING THE CONTACT VISIBILITY TO BE BLOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS CAUSING THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR UNEXPECTEDLY FALLS AND OBSCURES LINE OF SIGHT. THIS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND CONTINUES TO HAPPEN. DURING AN INTERNET SEARCH REGARDING THIS ISSUE, IT CAME TO LIGHT THAT TOYOTA IS AWARE OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE AS MANY CUSTOMERS HAVE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT. INSTEAD OF A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS, TOYOTA DECIDED TO EXTEND A WARRANTY TO 7 YEARS ON THIS ISSUE BUT DID NOT INFORM IT'S CUSTOMER BASE ABOUT THIS ISSUE. AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT, I DID NOT DISCOVER THIS WARRANTY EXTENSION UNTIL 3 MONTHS AFTER THEIR WARRANTY EXTENSION EXPIRED. TOYOTA IS NOT WILLING TO EXTEND THE COVERAGE AND FEELS THAT THEY HAVE FOLLOWED PROPER PROCEDURES. I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE. I WAS USING MY WIFE'S CAR THIS WEEKEND, DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, MAKING A LANE CHANGE AT 65 MPH, WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE VISOR FLIPPED DOWN. MY IMMEDIATE REACTION WAS BRAKES... AND THANKFULLY ALL WAS OKAY. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE HANDLED AS A RECALL, NOT AS A CUSTOMER WARRANTY EXTENSION. *TR
ENGINE COILS KEEP GOING BAD HAD IT REPLACED AT THE TOYOTA DEALER AND CONTINUES TO FAIL. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN AS I PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATION IT WOULD ONLY REACH 30 MPH, AND MY CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF. I ALMOST CRASHED DUE TO THAT INCIDENT NOT TO MENTION IT CONTINUES HAPPEN. I CAN NOT AFFORD THAT NOR ANY HARM TO MY CHILDREN. THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT IS LOCKED, AND UNABLE TO USE. I HAD MY POWER WINDOW ALSO FAILED TO WORK ON SOME OCCASIONS I HAVE TO MANUALLY PUSH IT UP. I SO LOVE MY TOYOTA BUT THERE ARE ALSO 8 OTHER RECALL TO WHICH I CAN ALSO RELATE TO.
TAKATA RECALL - MY DASH HAS SUCH A BAD GLARE I HAVE TO PLACE SOMETHING OVER IT SO I CAN SEE SAFELY. THE DASH IS MELTING SO MUCH I CANNOT EVEN GET IT CLEANED BECAUSE THE DASH WIPES OFF WITH THE CLEANING RAGS. IT IS MELTING INTO MY SUN VISOR AND HAS A STRANGE ODOR IN THE CAR. THIS IS RIDICULOUS THAT CONSUMERS HAVE TO SUFFER AND BE BLINDED, THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE ESP EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN THE SUB IS SO BRIGHT! THE DASH IS PEELING OFF IN PLACES AS WELL, IT POPS UP AND HAS PIECES COMING OFF OR WIPING OFF AS IF THEY WERE BOILED AND VERY FRAGILE. I HAVE ATTACHED PHOTOS OF THE GLARE, THE STICKINESS THAT MAKES EVERYTHING STICK TO IT AND YOU CANNOT CLEAN THE DASH AT ALL OR IT SMUDGES OFF AS MENTIONED EARLIER. THE PHOTOS ALSO SHOW THE DASH IS MELTING INTO MY SUN SHADES.
I TURNED ON MY CAR AFTER DROPPING MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING (AROUND 8:30 AM). I NOTICED THE DASH BOARD IS SHOWING "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" AND THE BRAKE WARNING LIGHT IS ON. I TRIED TO DRIVE IN SLOW SPEED (10 MPH) AND PRESSED ON BRAKE BUT THE CAR IS NOT STOPPING AS FAST AS I EXPECT. I TRIED TO DRIVE UP TO ABOUT 10MPH AGAIN AND APPLIED BRAKE; THE RESULT IS SAME: CAR FAILS TO STOP FAST. THE WARNING LIGHTS WERE STILL ON AT THIS POINT. I PULLED OVER BY THE CURB, OPENED THE HOOD AND VISUALLY INSPECTED LEVELS OF BRAKE FLUID. FLUID LEVEL LOOKED NORMAL. WHEN I SAT BACK IN THE DRIVING SEAT, I NOTICED ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS ARE OFF. THEN TRIED DRIVING AND APPLIED BRAKE. EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP FOR WEDNESDAY 3/5/2014. I SUSPECT SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT WITH MY VEHICLE. *TR
WHILE MY SON WAS TRAVELING TO SCHOOL THE VSC LIGHT CAME ON THE WARNING PANEL. AT THAT TIME THE BRAKES WERE HARD TO OPERATE AND TOOK A FEW SECONDS TO REENGAGE AND THE BRAKES LOCKED UP BRINGING THE CAR TO A SKIDDING STOP. AFTER A MINUTE THE LIGHTS WENT OFF AND HE WAS ABLE TO TRAVEL AGAIN, BUT THE SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN THE NEXT MORNING TAKING MY OTHER KIDS TO SCHOOL WHEN THE ROADS WERE ICY! THIS IS A SITUATION WHERE SOMEONE WILL BE KILLED BEHIND FAULTY EQUIPMENT BEING IGNORED BY TOYOTA ON THE 2007 CAMRY HYBRIDS. *TR
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO INSTRUMENT PANEL AND ABS SYSTEM COMPUTER PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE SPEEDOMETER WENT TO ZERO, THEN WENT BACK TO NORMAL SPEED FOR A MINUTE MORE, AND THEN WENT BACK TO ZERO FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE WENT TO ZERO, THEN REGISTERED CURRENT ENGINE TEMPERATURE, AND WENT TO ZERO AGAIN FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. THE NEXT MORNING, CD PLAYER STOPPED WORKING AND ISSUES WITH THE SPEEDOMETER AND ENGINE TEMPERATURE RESUMED AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED AT THE DEALER, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THE ABS COMPUTER WAS NO LONGER WORKING AND THUS COULD NO LONGER COMMUNICATE WITH THE OTHER 4 COMPUTERS IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER IT WOULD COST $2,400 PLUS LABOR.
MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY SE HAS DASH BOARD MELTED WITH HEAT FROM SUN. THE PLASTIC COATING HAS TURNED INTO A STICKY GLUE LIKE SURFACE, IF I TOUCH THE SURFACE WITH HAND MY HAND GETS STUCK TO IT LIKE SUPER GLUE. FRONT DASH BOARD NOW REFLECT DIRECT LIGHT FROM SUN AND CREATES A VERY BRIGHT GLARE AND AFFECTS DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER VISIBILITY OF ROAD. I HAVE CALLED TOYOTA COMPANY AND THEY DECLINED TO OFFER ANY HELP BECAUSE MY CAR IS MORE THEN 3 YEARS OLD AND IT HAS MORETHEN 36000 MILES ON IT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND I HOPE TO SEE THE RESPONSE FROM MANUFACTURE THANKS. *TR
DROPPING MY KID OFF AT SCHOOL ONE MORNING AND IT WAS VERY SUNNY. WE WERE LATE THAT MORNING SO A SCHOOL ATTENDANT CLOSED ONE SIDE OF THE GATE. THE SUN WAS VERY BRIGHT AND BECAUSE MY DASH IS MELTING, THE SUN BUT A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE GATE WAS OPEN BUT I WASN'T ABLE TO SEE THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE GATE WAS CLOSED (LARGE GLARE ON WINDSHIELD). I WAS ABLE TO MAKE OUT THAT THERE WERE NO CHILDREN AROUND TO PROCESS TO GO THROUGH THE GATE BUT COULDN'T CONFIRM THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF GATE WAS CLOSED. DRIVER SIDE OF GATE WAS OPEN SO I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT THE OTHER SIDE WOULD BE CLOSED. PUT A BIG DINT IN MY CAR BY PASSENGER SIDE FRONT WINDOW. I EVEN HAD SUNSHADES ON. TOOK ALL PERCUSSIONS OTHER THAN GETTING OUT OF CAR TO LOOK. DIDN'T THINK IT WAS SOMETHING MANDATORY FOR ME TO DO. I HAVE CONTACTED TOYOTA SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE OF THE MELTING DASHBOARD EVEN BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. *TR
ON MARCH 2, 2014 I WAS BACKING OUT OF THE GARAGE WHEN I NOTICED THAT MULTIPLE WARNING LIGHTS HAD LIT UP ON THE DASH, INCLUDING THE WORDS "CHECK VSC SYSTEM". AT THAT POINT I TAPPED THE BRAKES TO STOP THE CAR AND REALIZED THAT THE BRAKES WERE NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IN ORDER TO STOP THE CAR I NEEDED TO PUSH THE BRAKE PEDAL ALMOST TO THE FLOOR. I TRIED DRIVING IT SLOWLY DOWN THE STREET AND AT JUST 15-20 MPH THE CAR WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO STOP. AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES AND PULLING IT FORWARD AND BACKWARDS A FEW TIMES THE WARNING LIGHTS TURNED OFF AND THE BRAKES SUDDENLY WORKED AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY, MARCH 3, 2014, I TOOK THE CAR TO THE TOYOTA DEALER, HOWEVER THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM OR PULL AN ERROR CODE FROM THE CARS COMPUTER. I WAS SENT ON MY WAY WITHOUT ANY REPAIR BEING DONE AND WAS TOLD IF THE PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN TO BRING IT BACK IN. I MENTIONED THE FORMAL INVESTIGATION BY THE NHTSA FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT THEY WERE NOT AWARE OF IT. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM AND IS VERY DANGEROUS. I WAS LUCKY TO BE DRIVING SLOWLY WHEN THIS OCCURRED, WHICH DOESN'T SEEM TO BE THE CASE FOR OTHERS. AFTER READING OTHER CASES, I'M VERY CONCERNED TO DRIVE THIS CAR. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT TOYOTA IS AWARE OF THE DEFECTIVE PART (THE ABS ACTUATOR/ACCUMULATOR) SINCE THEY HAVE REDESIGNED THE REPLACEMENT PART. TOYOTA NEEDS TO DO A RECALL FOR THIS PART IMMEDIATELY! *TR
WHILE DRIVING WITH MY WIFE IN OUR 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID ON A SURFACE STREET, I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND REALIZED THAT THE CAR WAS NOT SLOWING DOWN. THE BRAKES HAD FAILED, AND WHEN I LOOKED AT THE DASHBOARD, THE DISPLAY SAID, "CHECK VSC SYSTEM". THE LIGHTS FOR THE "BRAKE" AND THE ABS LIGHTS WERE ALSO ILLUMINATED. LUCKILY WE DID NOT HAVE ANY CARS IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF US, OR TO THE RIGHT, SO WE WERE ABLE TO CHANGE LANES AND EXIT ON TO A SIDE ROAD. THE BRAKE SYSTEM CAME BACK ONLINE AFTER ABOUT 10 SECONDS, AND WE WERE ONCE AGAIN ABLE TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN. THIS WAS A EXTREMELY TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE, AND I HAVE SINCE THEN FOUND OUT THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE FACED THE SAME PROBLEM, ON THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW DIFFERENT TIMES IN THE PAST TO BOTH MY WIFE AND MYSELF, BUT FORTUNATELY WE WERE BACKING OUT OF A PARKING SPOT WHENEVER IT HAPPENED. THIS PROMPTED US TO TAKE OUR CAR IN TO THE DEALER AND ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE BRAKE SYSTEM. WE HAVE ALSO ASKED THE DEALER TO CHECK THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHENEVER WE HAVE TAKEN THE CAR IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. ON BOTH OCCASIONS, THE DEALER HAS NEVER DETECTED ANY ISSUE WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM, AND WE HAVE CONTINUED DRIVING OUR CAR UNAWARE OF THE POTENTIAL RISK. WE NEED TO USE OUR CAR, BUT ARE UNABLE TO BECAUSE IT IS NOW A SAFETY HAZARD. I URGE TOYOTA TO ISSUE A RECALL AND FIX THIS PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY AS IT DIRECTLY IMPACTS HUMAN LIVES. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I HAVE FOUND THAT THE COST TO FIX IT IS BETWEEN $2500 AND $3000. OUR CAR IS NEARING 7 YEARS OLD, AND THE COST OF THE REPAIR IS NEARLY 30% OF THE CAR'S WORTH. IT IS RIDICULOUS TO EXPECT A CONSUMER TO FOOT THE COST OF THIS BILL, WHEN INSTEAD IT SHOULD BE TOYOTA'S RESPONSIBILITY, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT AND IS A RISK TO PEOPLE'S LIVES. *TR
THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE SLOWLY STARTED TO DROOP EVENTUALLY ENDING UP ALL THE WAY DOWN AND IT WILL NOT STAY UP. IT IS A HAZARD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BUT MY SON DOES NOT HAVE ANY OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. HOW THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE IS BEYOND ME. *TR
I'VE NOTICED MY 2007 CAMRY DASHBOARD IS MELTING UNDER THE HOT FLORIDA SUN. IN THE MORNINGS IS NOT AS STICKY BUT WHEN HEAT STARTS GOING UP THE DASHBOARD GET STICKIER AND SHINY MAKING A GLARE ON WINDSHIELD MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE. THIS IS A PROBLEM I CANNOT HAVE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! *TR

THE MANUFACTURER DID NOTIFY THE CONTACT THAT SHE WOULD BE ENTITLED TO A REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE INITIAL FEE FOR THE FIRST REPAIR. WHEN THE LOSS OF BRAKE PRESSURE WAS HAPPENING I ALSO NOTICED MULTIPLE LIGHTS CAME ON AND AFTER THE STOP ON THE DISPLAY THERE WAS A CHECK VSC SYSTEM MESSAGE THAT WILL NOT EXTINGUISH. THIS MORNING IT IS STILL IN THE SAME CONDITION. I CALLED THE SERVICE CENTER AND THEY TOLD ME A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK WOULD BE AROUND 105.00 DOLLARS. I HAVE SINCE DONE RESEARCH AND HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THIS AND THE COST OF REPAIR(UPWARDS OF 3,000) IS RIDICULES. IF THIS IS A MANUFACTURES DEFECT AND KNOW PROBLEM TOYOTA NEEDS TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND FIX THE ISSUE BEFORE SOMEONE HAS A MAJOR ACCIDENT. I STARTED TO FEEL STICKY SPOTS ON THE TOP-SIDE DASHBOARD FACING WINDSHIELD. THE SOFT, STICKY SPOTS WERE ACCUMULATING LIGHT-COLORED DUST OVER THE PAST YEAR. THEY WERE NOT GREASY, BUT EXTREMELY STICKY AND TACKY TO THE TOUCH. THE ACCUMULATED DUST WAS NOT CLEANABLE OR ABLE TO BE REMOVED WITHOUT DAMAGING DASHBOARD MATERIAL. (I RUBBED OFF THE TOP LAYER OF PLASTIC TRYING TO GENTLY CLEAN WITH A WET POLY TOWEL). THEY WERE STARTING TO REFLECT OFF MY WINDSHIELD DURING DAYTIME DRIVING. I IGNORED THIS ISSUE FOR A WHILE BUT LATELY NOTICED THE INTERIOR GLARE IS GETTING WORSE TOWARD THE FRONT OF MY DASHBOARD AT THE WINDSHIELD JUNCTION. IT'S ESPECIALLY PRESENT ON BRIGHT DAYS WHERE THE SUN IS HIGH UP. THIS IS PRESENTING A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE WITH REGARDS TO OUTWARD DRIVING VISIBILITY. TOYOTA HAS BEEN CONTACTED AND I STARTED A PROBLEM CASE WITH THEM. I AM AWAITING FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT TOYOTA WANTS TO DO NEXT WITH MY VEHICLE. A SPECIAL "WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT" HAS BEEN STARTED TO ADDRESS THIS "COSMETIC CONCERN."
