I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT A DANGEROUS AND ALMOST DEADLY INCIDENT REGARDING DRIVING MY TOYOTA CAMRY(2007). ON DECEMBER 13, 2009, MY WIFE WAS DRIVING MY TOYOTA, CAMRY IN WILKES BARRE, PA. VISITING FAMILY. SHE WAS ON RTE. 81 AND THE CAR STARTING RAPIDLY ACCELERATING WITHOUT HER PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. THE CAR SPEED GOT UP TO AROUND 100 MPH WHEN SHE FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SLOW THE CAR DOWN BY PRESSING THE BRAKE HEAVILY AND THEN PUTTING THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. MY WIFE CAME VERY CLOSE TO CRASHING THE CAR WHICH AT THAT SPEED WOULD HAVE SURELY MEANT DEATH. MY WIFE WAS QUITE ANXIOUS TO SAY THE LEAST AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS INCIDENT. I WOULD LIKE AN INVESTIGATION OF THIS MATTER AND AM QUITE ANGRY AT TOYOTA FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE TO OCCUR. I AM CONSIDERING TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST TOYOTA. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LUXURY EDITION. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WOULD NOT RETURN TO THE IDLE THROTTLE POSITION. THE CONTACT TAPPED ON THE BRAKES SINCE HE THOUGHT THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED. THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING DOWN BUT CONTINUED TO MOVE FORWARD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF WHILE IT WAS STILL IN MOTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FLOOR MAT WAS PROBABLY STUCK UNDER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED A SECOND TIME WITHOUT THE FLOOR MATS IN THE VEHICLE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNDER 80,000.
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY TRAVELING AT NORMAL SPEED (APPROX 30 MPH--W/IN LIMIT), SUDDEN ACCELERATION OF VEHICLE CAUSED VEHICLE TO HIT PARKED CAR AND FLIP OVER ON DRIVER'S SIDE. DRIVER SUSTAINED HEAD INJURIES, SEVERE MEMORY LOSS, 2 BROKEN RIBS, FRACTURED KNEES, LOSS OF BALANCE, REQUIRING WALKER FOR MOBILITY, AS WELL AS PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURIES. *TR
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE PURCHASED IN THOUSAND OAKS CA AT DCH TOYOTA. TOOK CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGE SERVICE AT INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP IN DEC 2009 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ONE FRONT STRUT AND TWO REAR STRUTS WERE LEAKING. THE CAR HAS APPROX. 43000 MILES - THEY AND I WERE BOTH SHOCKED THAT 3 OUT OF 4 WERE LEAKING. SHOP RECOMMENDED THAT I REPLACE ALL FOUR STRUTS FOR $1500. WAS TOLD IF I DIDN'T HAVE THEM REPLACED IT WOULD EVENTUALLY AFFECT MY SUSPENSION. TOOK CAR NEXT TO TOYOTA DEALER FOR RECALL, AND HAD THEM CHECK STRUTS TOO. THEY INDICATED THAT ONLY BOTH REAR STRUTS WERE LEAKING, AND RECOMMENDED REPLACEMENT TOO - NOT URGENT BUT SOON. CALLED ANOTHER INDEPENDENT TOYOTA SHOP - THIS SHOP SAID THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ON THIS ISSUE TO CLARIFY WHAT IS A TRUE LEAK, AND THAT I SHOULDN'T WORRY. I AM SHOCKED THAT TOYOTA DEALER DIDN'T MENTION SERVICE BULLETIN TO ME. SO, I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM OR NOT. I WILL HAVE STRUTS LOOKED AT AGAIN AT NEXT SERVICE APPT. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE SUN VISOR BROKE. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT ALTHOUGH THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, THEY WOULD NOT ASSIST WITH THE REPAIR COSTS AS THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 36,200. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 47,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE. THE CONTACT STATED THE DASHBOARD MELTED FROM SUN RAYS WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 68,888.
TOYOTA CAMRY 2007 - SUDDEN ACCELERATION IN REVERSE. WHEN I AM BACKING UP THE CAR AT SLOW SPEEDS (SUCH AS BACKING OUT OF MY GARAGE) THE CAR OFTEN SUDDENLY ACCELERATES BACKWARDS. WHEN BACKING UP OUT OF MY GARAGE I MUST KEEP MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AT ALL TIMES AND BE READY TO STEP HARD ON THE BRAKE TO STOP THE SUDDEN BACKWARDS ACCELERATION. WHEN DRIVING FORWARD, THE ENGINE OFTEN HESITATES FOR SEVERAL SECONDS WHEN I STEP ON THE GAS. THIS OFTEN HAPPENS WHEN I AM RAPIDLY ACCELERATING TO ENTER A FREEWAY. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION AS I NEED THE CAR TO ACCELERATE TO ENTER FAST MOVING TRAFFIC BUT I CANNOT COUNT ON THE ENGINE TO RAPIDLY SPEED UP. AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS OF HESITATION, THE CAR THEN ACCELERATES TOO RAPIDLY. MY TOYOTA DEALER CLAIMS TO HAVE FIXED THE RAPID ACCELERATION WHEN DRIVING BACKWARDS, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. AS FOR THE ACCELERATION HESITATION, THE TOYOTA DEALER CLAIMED THAT THE PROBLEM I DESCRIBED DID NOT EXIST. *TR
MY DAUGHTER WAS TRAVELING WEST ON ROUTE 22. SHE SAW A RED LIGHT AHEAD. SHE TRIED TO SLOW DOWN AND COME TO A STOP BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP OR SLOW DOWN. SHE PUMPED THE BRAKES AND THE PUSHED THE BRAKE PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE CAR STILL WOULD NOT STOP. SHE REAR ENDED A CAR AND THAT CAR WAS PUSHED INTO ANOTHER CAR. *JB
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. CONSUMER REQUESTS REIMBURSEMENT FOR A REPLACEMENT BATTERY. THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START, DUE TO A DEAD BATTERY. THE BATTERY CABLES WERE HEAVILY CORRODED. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED HE EXPERIENCED SUDDEN ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, BEFORE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED.*JB
I PURCHASE TWO VEHICLE FROM TOYOTA LAKESIDE IN NEW ORLEANS,LA. ONE BEING A 2007 CAMRY THE OTHER WAS 2007 TUNDRA BOTH VEHICLE WAS CALL FOR A RECALL. AFTER THE CAMRY WAS RECALL THE VEHICLE WAS NOT PERFORMING THE IT WAS BEFORE THE RECALL I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO TOYOTA LAKESIDE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM @ THE TIME THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. I BROUGHT IT BACK AGAIN AND TOLD THEM THE CAR WAS HESITATING AND NOT ACCELERATING SOME TIMES STILL THEY SAID THEY CAN NOT FIND NOTHING. NOW MY CAMRY IS 300 MILES OVER ITS WARRANTY AND THE CAR WANT ACCELERATE AT ALL IT WANT GO PASS 10MILES AN HOUR. A USED THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY WAS SENT TO ODI FROM AN ANONYMOUS SOURCE (A CONCERNED CITIZEN). THE SHAFT THAT CONTROLS THE THROTTLE BLADE, SITUATED WITHIN THE THROTTLE BODY HOUSING, HAS A CRACK ON THE ENGINE (DOWNWIND) SIDE OF THE VALVE. THE CRACK RUNS ALONG THE LONG AXIS OF THE SHAFT. A LETTER SUPPLIED WITH THE COMPONENT CLAIMS THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SIMILARLY AFFECTED COMPONENTS ON NISSAN AND TOYOTA PRODUCTS CURRENTLY IN USE, AND THAT A FAILURE OF THE SHAFT CAN RESULT IN UNWANTED ACCELERATION. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. SHE STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH SHE USING THE CRUISES CONTROL AND WHEN TURNING IT OFF, WITHOUT PUTTING HER FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR PETAL THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. SHE WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE THEN IT DROVE FINE. AFTER THAT INCIDENT SHE HASN'T DRIVEN THE VEHICLE THAT MUCH AND HASN'T EXPERIENCED IT ANYMORE. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY STATED THAT SHE SHOULD BRING THE VEHICLE IN TO HAVE IT DIAGNOSED AND SO THEY CAN LOOK AT ACCELERATOR PETAL. THE CONTACT DOES NOT BELIEVE ITS THE PETAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 6233. UPDATED 03/04/10. *LJ
THE VEHICLE IT HAS BEEN BURN/USING TO MUCH OIL, AT LEAST 4-5 TIMES A WEEK I NEED TO ADD OIL. THE SECOND PROBLEM IS THE PHONE CAR CHARGER OUTLET AND THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER IT'S NOT WORKING, AND I TRIED TO CHECK THE SOURCE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERING WHEEL ALL THE SOCKET, ALL OF THEM IS WORKING/NOT BROKEN. AND ALSO ON THE TAPE SCREEN, IT'S HAPPEND ONLY SOMETIMES, IT'S SUDDENLY THE SCREEN GOES BLANK AND AFTER I PUT THE PRESSURE BY PRESSING DOWN ON THE SCREEN IT COMES BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN. AND I JUST FIND OUT THAT TOYOTA
I JUST HAVE TO PUT THIS COMPLAINT IN BECAUSE TOYOTA BLEW ME OFF AND MADE ME PAY $186.00 TO REPAIR THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE THAT JUST STARTED FALLING ON ME ONE DAY WHEN I WAS DRIVING LONG DISTANCE. I TOLD THEM THAT THERE IS NO WAY THAT A 2007 SUN VISOR ON ANY CAR SHOULD BE FALLING DOWN AND HITTING THE DIVER THEY TOLD ME IT DIDN'T MATTER THAT THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND TO FIX THIS DANGER I HAD TO PAY. I COULDN'T DRIVE AROUND WITH MY VISOR FALLING DOWN IN MY FACE AS I WAS TRYING TO DRIVE SO I PAID THE MONEY BUT I LET THEM KNOW THAT THIS WAS A SAFETY HAZARD AND THAT IT SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO A 2007 CAMRY. I HAVE PURCHASED TOYOTA'S SINCE 1982 AND AFTER THE WAY I WAS TREATED I WILL NOT BE BACK TO BUY A TOYOTA. I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE PARALLEL PARKING, I HAD MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE CAR SURGED FORWARD AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED THAT I COULD NOT CONTROL. THE BRAKES WERE INEFFECTIVE AND I STOPPED BY CRASHING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THERE WAS SOME MILD BUMPER DAMAGE. I BELIEVE THE SAME THING HAPPENED LAST YEAR WHEN I WAS IN A MINOR MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT. I WAS TRAVELING WITH TRAFFIC AND WAS UNABLE TO STOP AT A RED LIGHT AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME THAT WAS STOPPED FOR THE LIGHT. I WAS KEEPING WITH TRAFFIC WHICH WAS NOT TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED, BUT THE CAR KEPT GOING AND BRAKING WAS INEFFECTIVE TO STOP IT. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA SOLARA. HE STATED THAT WHILE STARTING THE VEHICLE HE HEARD CLICKING NOISES FROM THE STARTER AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO JUMP START THE BATTERY SO THAT HE COULD DRIVE IT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE STATING THAT IT WAS THE IGNITION WIRE THAT WAS TOUCHING THE 2ND WIRE CAUSING AN OPEN CIRCUIT DRAW, THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS IN A PROTECTIVE HARNESS AND THAT THIS SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED AND THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THERE WERE REPAIRS WHICH INCLUDED A REPLACEMENT BATTERY AND THE IGNITION WIRE HARNESS WHICH WAS REPAIRED AS WELL AT THE OWNERS EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24753 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 24803. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN THE START POSITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT WOULD NOT MOVE FROM PARK TO DRIVE GEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPRODUCED. THE CONTACT PREVIOUSLY NOTICED THAT THE GEAR SELECTOR WOULD HESITATE WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35000.
ABS WAS ACTIVATED RANDOMLY AND I HAD PROBLEMS STOPPING. I HAD A MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD INDICATING THE PARKING BRAKE WAS ACTIVATED WHEN IT WAS NOT. THE MESSAGE INDICATED TO CHECK THE VAC SYSTEM. TOYOTA CLAIMED THE COMPUTERS DIDN'T SHOW ANY ERROR CODES. THEY INITIALLY DENIED ANY PROBLEMS AND ATTRIBUTED THIS TO DRIVER ERROR. AFTER A FEW WEEKS TRYING TO GET THEM TO FIX THIS PROBLEM I CAUGHT THE PROBLEM ON VIDEO USING MY CELLPHONE AND SHOWED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY USED MY EXTENDED WARRANTY TO CHANGE THE ACTUATOR AND BILLED MY WARRANTY FOR $2,000. MY MAIN COMPLAINT IS THAT I ALMOST GOT IN A CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND TOLD ME IT WAS 1) PROBABLY MY FLOOR MAT; 2) MY DRIVING. I HAVE RECEIPTS AND THE VIDEO TO BACK UP THIS COMPLAINT. *TR
2007 RUNAWAY TOYOTA PROBLEM-DOT HAS PUT OUT A RECALL NOTICE ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LE INDICATING THAT TOYOTA'S REMEDY OF REMOVING THE DRIVERS SIDE FLOOR MAT DOES NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM AND THAT THERE IS AN UNINDENTIFIED SAFETY DEFICIENCY. SINCE THE PROBLEM IN ALL PROBABILITY RELATES TO A COMPUTER CHIP GOVERNING THE ACCELERATOR OR THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, PERMITTING MILLIONS OF TOYOTAS TO OPERATES WITH A HIDDEN SAFETY HAZARD IS INAPPROPRIATE. TOYOTA SHOULD BE REQUIRED IN A VERY SHORT FINITE TIME PERIOD TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM OR RECALL THE CARS AND REIMBURSE OWNERS. DEFECTIVE CARS THAT CAN CAUSE DEATHS SHOULD NOT BE PERMITTED TO ROAM THE HIGHWAYS. *TR
ON MORE THAN OCCASION THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT BELT HAS BECOME INOPERABLE. IT APPEARS THAT IT DOES NOT RETRACT PROPERLY AND WILL NOT RELEASE SO THAT THE DRIVER CAN PUT IT ON. AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OR DAYS IT WILL FINALLY RETRACT AND BEGIN TO WORK AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM WAS REPORTED TO THE DEALER AND WAS WORKING WHEN WE TOOK IT IN. NOTHING WAS DONE. IT IS GOING IN AGAIN BECAUSE IT IS HAPPENING MORE OFTEN AND LASTING LONGER. *TR
I STOPPED MY NEWLY PURCHASED (10/1/09) 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY TO LET PASSENGERS OUT... THEN I TRIED TO MOVE IT UP ABOUT A HALF CAR LENGTH AND PARK IT IN FRONT OF MY GARAGE DOOR. INSTEAD OF MOVING UP SLOWLY IT SUDDENLY ZOOMED OUT OF CONTROL AT HIGH SPEED AND EXPLODED (FLYING GLASS AND BOARDS EVERYWHERE!) RIGHT THROUGH THE GARAGE DOOR. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO COME OUT THE OTHER SIDE, FORTUNATELY THE TRACTOR AND OTHER HEAVY GARAGE EQUIPMENT STOPPED IT. THE WHEELS WERE STILL SPINNING AND SMOKE WAS POURING OUT.. IT WAS VERY FRIGHTENING AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD CATCH ON FIRE, THE ONLY WAY OUT...AS IT WAS COVERED IN DEBRIS....WAS OVER THE BACK SEAT AND OUT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. IT DID $7000 WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR AND $4,000+ DAMAGE TO MY HOME AND POSSESSIONS . IT HAD DESTROYED MY CONFIDENCE IN DRIVING IT. WHAT IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN AND IN TRAFFIC? HORRORS...SOMEONE, INCLUDING ME COULD BE KILLED! I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT IN OVER A WEEK...CAN'T GET UP THE NERVE! I SHOULD PROBABLY SELL IT...EXCEPT WHO WOULD BUY IT WITH IT'S HISTORY? ON 7/22/09, I HAD FOUR NEW TIRES REPLACED ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY (LE) AT PEP BOYS #430 LOCATED ON 260-310 RTE 73, N. BERLIN, NJ 08009 PH # (856) 719-0770. THE NEW TIRES WERE CORNELL 1000 RADIAL P215/60R16 M+S 94S. DURING WET PAVEMENT THE TIRES SPIN ON THE ROAD (WHEN I AM STOPPED AT A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND TRY TO MOVE WHEN IT TURNS GREEN, EVEN AT THE SLOWEST ACCELERATION SPEED POSSIBLE) AND ON AN EXIT RAMP THE CAR LOSES CONTROL AT THE MINIMUM SPEEDS. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY OF OTHERS ON THE ROAD, MYSELF AND PROPERTY DAMAGE DUE TO THESE TIRES UNSAFE BEHAVIOR. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BETWEEN JULY AND NOV. 2009 BUT I WAS NOT SURE THAT THE DEFECTIVE TIRES COULD BE THE ROOT CAUSE FOR THE CAR'S BEHAVIOR. I HAVE TALKED TO THE SERVICE MECHANICS AT THE STORE WHERE THESE TIRES WERE INSTALLED AND SO FAR NO HELP IS PROVIDED TO CORRECT THE DEFICIENCY. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING AND APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SURGED FORWARD UNTIL IT CRASHED INTO A TREE. I WAS DRIVING TO SAN ANTONIO FROM HOUSTON AND USING MY CRUISE CONTROL ON MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY LE 4 CYL CAR MADE JAPAN. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 70 MPH AND I HAD TO SLOW DOWN FOR A VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME SO I PRESSED MY BRAKES WHICH STOPPED THE CRUISE CONTROL. THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME THEN TURNED AND I WAS ABLE TO RESUME CRUISE CONTROL SO I PRESSED RESUME AND WITHOUT ALSO PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL AND/OR BRAKE PEDAL. THE CAR SURGED AHEAD GAINING LARGE AMOUNTS OF SPEED AND EASILY GOING OVER THE SPEED LIMIT THAT I HAD SET AT 70 MPH. THE SPEEDOMETER HIT 78 AND KEEP GOING AT THAT SPEED ABOUT 30 SECS AND THEN STARTED TO SLOW DOWN TO 70 MPH. I REPORTED THE STICKY DASH PROBLEM TO DEALERSHIP AT ABOUT 60,000 MILES IN 09 ALONG WITH THE STEERING WHEEL MATERIAL FALLING APART. THIS PROBLEM HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE TO THE POINT WHERE MY DASH IS CREATING A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR ORIGINAL OWNERS AS THIS CAN BE A SAFETY HAZARD. WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON OR ABOUT OCTOBER 23, 2009, I APPROACHED AN INTERSECTION AND CAME TO A STOP. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE TO PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR, HOWEVER THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE AS ANTICIPATED. THIS INCIDENT COMPLETELY FREAKED ME OUT, AND I SUBSEQUENTLY TRADED IN THE VEHICLE. BRIDGESTONE SAID ALL 4 STRUTS ARE LEAKING AND MIGHT HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PREMATURE TIRE WORN OUT. I NOTICED AN UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF ROAD NOISE AND VIBRATIONS WHEN DRIVING AT SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH. WHEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER THEY INITIALLY SUGGESTED TIRE REPLACEMENT/ALIGNMENT. SINCE THE TIRES WERE ABOUT DUE I DID SO AND THERE WAS IMPROVEMENT BUT IT CONTINUED. MY SECOND VISIT TO THE DEALER REVEALED THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL BEARING WAS FAILING. LUCKILY I HAD A FREE EXTENDED 80,000 MILE DRIVE TRAIN WARRANTY AND THEY REPAIRED IT MINUS DEDUCTIBLE. *TR
