I went to the dealership near me to get the following recall completed: Manufacturer Recall Number26TA02, NHTSA Recall Number26V038. The recall was stated to say that the rear backup camera would sometimes not show despite being shifted into reverse, which I had experienced multiple times. After the dealership performed the software update to fix this issue, I have experienced the issue multiple times since. So the issue is not fixed and the update from Toyota failed.
2024 Toyota tundra limited Engine locked up 47k miles and changed oil 5000 miles .good thing i wasn't in a turn would have gone off road .
When you have the car on lane steer it randomly attempts to steer out of it
The electronic Rear view camera stopped working. We took it to Allen Toyota and they found, “ DIGITAL REAR VIEW MIRROR INTERNAL FAILURE.”. They replaced the entire rear view camera. Our Tundra only had 1546 miles and less than a year old.
Vehicle panoramic view monitor camera system becomes unresponsive. Error Code U023B87 - Lost communication with ECM/PCM missing image. System error renders all cameras except rear camera inoperable. Rear camera lines are removed. All Parking and Cross Traffic Collision becomes unresponsive and appears to be off. Only warning lamp was "vehicle trailer assist malfunction" within the trailer display. Problem is always occurring, it is not intermittent. Concerns on safety: Inability to utilize parking, cross traffic, and cameras which enhance vehicle and pedestrian safety. Front view camera typically goes on at low to avoid forward blindspot over hood. Without cameras or sensors, may result in collision with low objects or pedestrians such as children on bicycles particularly on large blindspot in front of hood. Failure appeared at 1,800 miles. Toyota dealership inspected and unable to resolve issue.
