Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)DT: SHE HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT ROTORS, AND NOW SHE FINDS OUT THAT THE REAR ROTORS ARE ALSO BAD. IT TAKES LONGER FOR THE VEHICLE TO STOP. THE VEHICLE IS UNSTABLE.*AK
WHEN APPLYING BRAKES VEHICLE HAD A JERKING MOVEMENT. BRAKE DRUMS HAVE WARPED.*AK
ALTHOUGH THERE HAS NOT BEEN AN ACCIDENT, THERE IS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF ACCEPTABLE REPLACEMENT TIME BEFORE PADS SHOULD BE CHANGED. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THESE JUST ABOUT EVERY THREE MONTHS. THE ROTORS HAVE BEEN DONE AT THE SAME TIME. NORMALLY I WOULD SAY THAT THE REPAIR SHOP WAS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ME, BUT THIS HAS BEEN DONE WITH MORE THAN JUST A SECOND OPINION AND A MECHANIC FOR A FATHER IN LAW. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I KNOW IM NOT THE ONLY CONSUMER THAT IS IN THIS SITUATION. PADS SHOULD NOT BE REPLACED THAT OFTEN ESPECIALLY WITH MOST OF THE MILEAGE COMING FROM HIGHWAY USE RATHER THAN CITY USE. *AK
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
