I was driving to work in my 2022 Ford Bronco Sport when traffic ahead of me stopped suddenly. I was able to come to a complete stop. The vehicle behind me did not see the stopped traffic until the last second and rear-ended my vehicle at an estimated speed of approximately 50 mph. The impact was severe enough that my vehicle was pushed forward into the car in front of me, resulting in a multi-vehicle collision. Despite the severity of the impact, none of my airbags deployed. My vehicle sustained significant damage and was declared a total loss. I sustained serious injuries in this crash and continue to experience long-term, life-altering effects. Given the force of the collision and the extent of the damage, I am concerned about why the airbag system did not deploy and whether there may be a defect in the airbag or crash sensor system. I am submitting this complaint so the incident can be reviewed and investigated to determine whether this presents a broader safety issue.
They sent me 2 papers about recalls and refused to fix it. Whatsoever, they tell me the fuel injection has to go out so they would fix it before even though they know it's bad. The second is a seat belt that click sometimes so basically they won't fix that either until it breaks completely. So what they're saying is basically the car can one be set on fire and 2 when I'm in a car crash, and I go through the window and If it fails, then they'll fix the problems. Is my understanding of it even though they're admitting there's a recall and they're refusing. To fix ithen, they said. Then when you've been at the software to fix the feeling injection problem. So why they selling cars? They don't have the software to fix the car.So I want something done about it.[XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
1. "Rear Belt Monitor Fault" warning popped up on my dash. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2. This warning indicates that if i get an accident my life is at risk. 3. The light has come on each time while i am driving for the past 2 days. Has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. 4. No, the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. 5. An alert came through my Ford app saying "Restraints Indicator Lamp warming" and explains what is happening which is " The restraints control module has detected a fault with the drivers seatbelt buckle sensor circuit." Continue to get "Rear Seatbelt Error." I can not safely transport children or adults as this is unsafe. Then, going to Ford to get it even looked at takes weeks, and during that time, they do not allow for a rental car.
Air bags failed to deploy when the car hit a tree. Issue has not be reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Vehicle has been inspected by claims adjuster only. There were no messages or symptoms of an issue prior to failure.
In a one car accident in which driver side hit concrete medium at approximately 45 mph airbags did deploy.
We keep getting error messages on the vehicle's information screen that says "The restraints control module has detected a fault with the driver seatbelt buckle sensor circuit". The airbag warning indicator light stays on and the alert occurs numerous times randomly while driving the vehicle. We are afraid that if we get into an accident the airbags might not deploy. We have taken vehicle to dealer for service (it is under new car warranty) and we were told a part is on order, but we've waited for two weeks and we feel unsafe driving it.
The contact owns a 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that while driving at 15 MPH, he collided with the rear of a trailer on the front driver's side. The air bags did not deploy, and as a result, the driver was thrust forward into the steering wheel. No warning lights were illuminated. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The driver was transported to an area hospital and treated for severe chest trauma and breathing difficulty, while the passenger was later treated for minor undisclosed injuries. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and later towed to the dealer. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 3,200.
