Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1995 GEO TRACKER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PIPE THAT HOLDS THE GASOLINE TANK HAD DETERIORATED AND WAS HANGING OFF OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 122,501. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,850.
WHILE DRIVING THE TRACKER ABOUT 5 OR 6 MPH IT JUST QUITS AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. ON JULY 29TH OWNER DISCOVERED THAT ONE OF THE WIRES FROM THE FUEL PUMP IS TOUCHING THE FUEL TANK WHICH IS CAUSING THE WIRE TO SHORT OUT. DEALER WOULD NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. OWNER HAS ORDERED A FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY AND WILL BE REPLACING THE PUMP. *AK
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
