It started shutting off at a light for autostop.but when it would turn green it would intermittently just drop out of autostop without restarting. Then may start back up or maybe not, many time after restarting at the light it would died in the middle of the inspection. A parasitic draw kept killing the accessory 12 V battery replaced the 12 V battery but the problem continued. When the truck was running it would run flawlessly,before stalling. The code said to replace the auxiliary fluid pump. I had it a new auxiliary fluid pump installed. After this the vehicle wouldnt crank. They then worked through a service bulliten fixing a list of areas were the harness was chaffed and shorted. The truck has been out of commission the past 10 months and intermittently started twice during this time, it ran rough for 5 mins and died out at the first stop sign and wont crank again. Some times it will crank but not start.

INTERMITTENT ELECTRICAL ISSUES. DOORS LOCKS AND WINDOWS DON'T ALWAYS WORK. SOMETIMES WHEN I SHUT MY CAR OFF IT DIES. LIKE I CAN'T TURN IT BACK ON. RUNNING BOARDS DON'T GO UP, CAN'T LOCK IT, NOTHING. DEAD. THEN 15 MINUTES LATER IT'S FINE. SOMETIMES WHEN DRIVING, IT'S LIKE IT'S CUTTING OUT, NOT GETTING ENOUGH POWER OR DIFFERENT WARNING LIGHTS WILL RANDOMLY FLASH. I JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE WORKING PROPERLY. I'M JUST AFRAID SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN WHILE WE ARE DRIVING. WE ALSO USE THE YUKON TO TOW A TRAILER. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO DEPEND ON IT. THE SHOP CAN NEVER DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND THEY JUST LOOK AT ME LIKE I'M CRAZY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL CONTROL MODULE AND THE BODY CONTROL MODULE WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER (ALLEN GWYNN CHEVROLET, GLENDALE, CA, 844-636-8480) SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT. WHEN THE CONTACT ARRIVED FOR THE APPOINTMENT, THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 115,000.
WHEN THE TRUCK GOES FROM THE AUTO STOP TO ENGINE POWER THE CLUCH IN THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T ENGAGE FULL SHUTTING THE TRUCK OFF WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT FROM A STOP. THE TRUCK HAS SHUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC ALMOST CAUSING AN ACCIDENT WITH MY 5 SMALL CHILDREN ON BOARD. OTHER TIMES IT WILL ONLY PARTIALLY ENGAGED LEAVING YOU WITH ALMOST NO POWER TO PULL OUT IN TRAFFIC. MY TRUCK IS STILL UNDER 100000 MILES BUT OVER THE 5 YEAR WARRANTY PERIOD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE IDLED, BUT FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND WAS DRIVEN HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,000.
SEVERE VIBRATION ISSUE. STARTED AT ABOUT 65 MPH AND LET OFF ABOUT 74. AT IT'S PEAK, ABOUT SAME AS HOLDING A JACK HAMMER INSTEAD OF A STEERING WHEEL.. DEALERS ARE BLAMING TIRES, ONE IDIOT TOLD ME VIBRATION WAS NORMAL. IT IS NOT. THE SOUND SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM PASSENGER REAR QUARTER AREA. THREE DEALERS CANNOT DIAGNOSE. IT WAS A FAILING U-JOINT ON THE REAR OF THE MAIN DRIVESHAFT. MINE FAILED I LOST THE YOKE ASSEMBLY AND THE DRIVESHAFT, AND IF GOING QUICKER - WOULD HAVE LIKELY PUNCTURED THE GAS TANK. LIKELY RESULTING IN A FIREBALL.
SOMETIMES WHEN I COME TO A STOP MY VEHICLE GOES INTO THE AUTOSTOP MODE, BUT WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE IT JUST DIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH THE GAS ENGINE NOT ENGAGING AND THE ELECTRIC MODE NOT MOVING THE VEHICLE THEN IT JERKS REALLY HARD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT A DAY AND THEN GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MULITPLE GMC DEALERSHIPS NUMEROUS TIMES AND PAIDED OUT FOR REPAIRS THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY CODES EVEN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO BEING HIT FROM THE BACK ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASIONS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE INITIALLY MOVES SLOWLY BEFORE JERKING AND STALLING AND ALMOST BROAD SIDED ON MORE THAN 3 OCCASIONS WHEN PULLING OUT OF A STOP SIGN INTO TRAFFIC. I AM AWARE OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS CAN WE GET HELP BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T CONCERNED WITH OUR SAFETY. I HAVE RECENTLY BEEN REFUSED THE OPPORTUNITY THE HAVE A GM REGIONAL REP MEET ME AT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO REVIEW THE ISSUE.
DRIVING AT 70 MPH ON HIGHWAY. VEHICLE GAUGES BEGIN TO ACT ERRATICALLY, VEHICLE HEAVES AND LURCHES, THEN 100% POWER FAILURE. NOTHING WORKED, EVEN HAZZARD LIGHTS. AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING ON AND OFF. WAS ABLE TO PUT VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND MOVE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WHERE THE VEHICLE STOPPED. THERE WAS NO POWER AT ALL, HAD TO MANUALLY OPEN DOOR LOCKS. AFTER 10-15 MINUTES, THE POWER CAME BACK ON AND I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND DRIVE HOME. HAPPENED AGAIN ON 3/23/14. AGAIN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE ELECTRIC COMPONENTS (RADIO, GAUGES, POWER CORD ACCESSORIES) BEGIN ACTING ERRATICALLY AND THEN 100% COMPLETE POWER FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. THE GM DEALER CANNOT DUPLICATE OR FIND THE PROBLEM. I FEEL 100% UNSAFE IN THE VEHICLE ESPECIALLY WITH MY KIDS. *TR

WE FIRST NOTICED IT ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO, BUT THOUGHT IT HAD TO BEEN THAT IT WAS ON ICE OR SOMETHING AND IT ROLLED ABOUT 40-50 FEET BACK. WELL LAST SATURDAY I WAS HELPING TO UNLOAD GROCERIES OUT OF IT WITH MY MOM AND UNCLE. JUST AS I PULLED THE LAST BAG OUT IT ROLLED BACK. I SEEN THE TIRES ROLLING. IT ALMOST RAN ME OVER, BUT I MOVED JUST IN TIME TO HAVE IT KNOCK ME ON TO MY KNEES. WELL THE DRIVER DOOR WAS OPEN AND IT CAUGHT ME AND DRAGGED ME ABOUT 40-50 FEET. WELL THE TAIL GATE HIT ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD THEN THE DOOR GOT MY ARM PRETTY GOOD. I AM NOW GOING TO THE DOCTOR FOR THIS. TODAY, WE MOVED IT TO SEE WHAT IT WOULD DO AND SURE ENOUGH IT DID IT RIGHT AWAY AS TO WHERE BEFORE IT WOULD TAKE 15-20 MIN. IT WAS JUST PARKED, WITH THE EMERGENCY BRAKE ON AND LOW AND BEHOLD IT ROLLED AWAY AGAIN. WHEN IT DRUG ME BEFORE, I GOT IN IT AFTERWARDS AND IT WAS IN PARK. NOT A DRIVER ERROR AT ALL. I LOOKED ONLINE AND THERE ARE 2 OTHER STORIES SIMILAR TO THIS. SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED BY THIS ISSUE IF IT IS NOT DEALT WITH. MY 2008 GMC YUKON XL HAS TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS. TWO SEPARATE DEALERSHIPS HAVE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION SEALS TWICE. THE CAR KICKS BACK UPON ACCELERATION QUITE FREQUENTLY, AT ALL SPEEDS. THREE WEEKS AGO, I WAS MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY AT ABOUT 45 MPH AND THE CAR ACCELERATED ONLY WITHOUT KICKING INTO GEAR, CAUSING ANOTHER CAR TO ALMOST HIT ME. AFTER ABOUT 15 SECONDS THE GEAR FINALLY KICKED IN REALLY HARD THROWING MY SON AND MYSELF FORWARD. IT WAS VERY SCARY. I HAD THE SECOND DEALERSHIP COME AND FLAT BED TOW THE CAR IN OUT OF FEAR OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION THAT THE SEALS WERE LOSE AND TIGHTEN AND NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG. ONE WEEK LATER I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE IS KICKING BACK AND SOMETIMES DOES STOPS SHIFTING INTO GEAR AS I AM TRYING TO ACCEL, THE VEHICLE MOVES THEN IT STOPS BEING ABLE TO CONTINUE. I AM CALLING THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TODAY. I AM WONDERING IF THERE HAVE BEEN ANY OTHER ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLES YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL. IN ADDITION, THE STABILITRAC, ENGINE CONTROL MODULE, AND ENGINE POWER REDUCED INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE ONTO THE ROAD SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SOUTHERN GREEN BRIER GMC (1300 SOUTH MILITARY HIGHWAY, CHESAPEAKE, VA 23320, 757-424-2418). THE DEAELER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT LOCATED FAILURE CODES P2122, P2138, AND P2128. THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY TWICE AND THE BATTERY CABLES WERE REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FOUR UNKNOWN DEALERS WHO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: [XXX]. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20,000. ON ALL 4 OCCASIONS, THE 2008 YUKON HYBRID, LUNGES FORWARD AT LOW SPEEDS, LOOSES BRAKES, POWER STEERING AND ALL POWER. EVERY TIME IT HAS TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2008. THE FIRST TIME THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE FUSE BOX, THEN WHILE THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE AGAIN. THE DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME THAT IT IS FIXED AND SAFE TO DRIVE. THE YUKON IS BACK AT THE DEALER AND I AM NOT TAKING IT BACK.
