My driver side back glass (quarter panel long glass) spontaneously exploded this morning with my young child in her car seat. No one was nearby, the car was in park. Nothing caused the glass to break it just randomly occurred.
Dashboard is severely cracked & rattles so badly that it interferes with hearing outside & inside noises & communication. Has gotten worse over past year. Dealer confirmed that the problem was prevalent among several GM models, including my model. I was also told that a class action suit was filed against GMC for this problem, but was dismissed by judicial system.
MY DASHBOARD IS SEVERELY CRACKED TO WHERE A PIECE HAS FALLING APART. *TR
THE DASH ABOVE THE GAUGE CLUSTER HAS A HUGE CRACK AND THERE IS ALSO ANOTHER CRACK BY THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I NOTICED IT WHEN I STARTED THE VEHICLE AFTER IT HAD BEEN PARKED ALL NIGHT IN MY DRIVEWAY. THERE IS NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE.
DASHBOARD CRACKS AROUND INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG. MY DASHBOARD STARTED TO CRACK A COUPLE OR YEARS AGO AND IS NOW CRACKED ALL OVER. IT IS ALSO A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE TRIED TO STOP THE CRACKS IN DIFFERENT WAYS AND IT JUST CONTINUES. GMC SHOULD RESPOND AND CHANGE THE DASHBOARD OF THESE VEHICLES. I ASKED THE DEALER IN THE LAST INSPECTION FOR THE REPAR. IT IS CLOSE TO 1300 DOLLARS AND GMC DOES NOT RESPOND. CLEARLY THIS IS A QUALITY ISSUE
THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE CHROME IS PEELING OFF, AND IT CUT MY WIFE'S HAND TODAY. THERE ARE 3 OF THE 4 DOORS THAT HAVE IT PEELING, AND I AM WORRIED ONE OF MY CHILDREN WILL CUT THERE FINGERS ALSO.
DASH IS CRACKED AND MAY CAUSE FLYING DEBRIS UPON AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT.SAFETY ISSUE.

I'M TRYING TO SEE IF GM IS RECALLING FOR CRACKED DASHBOARDS
I NOTICED WHILE DRIVING MY DASHBOARD HAS TWO CRACKS ONE ON THE HUMP WHERE STEERING WHEEL IS AND THE OTHER ON PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. THE CRACK ON DRIVE SIDE IS HUGE. AND IN THE MIDDLE OF DASHBOARD WHERE THE AIR VENT IS THERE IS NOW STARTING TO BE A SEPARATION.
TOP DASH BOARD CRACKED ADJACENT TO AIR BAG THEREBY POSSIBILITY INTERFERING WITH AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. A SAFETY HAZARD. A DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING PROBLEM. NOT OF MERCHANTABLE QUALITY OR FIT FOR THE PURPOSE, AS THESE UNIT ARE SOLD THROUGHOUT THE US FOR ALL CLIMATES,
COMPLETE PERFORATION OF FRAME BY RUST, IMPACTING ABILITY TO SECURELY MOUNT FRONT ANTI-ROLL BAR. DISCOVERED IN MARCH OF 2016. GM HAS OFFERED NO RESOLUTION.
CRACKS IN DASHBOARD , AROUND AIRBAG. AFTER RESEARCHING INTERNET SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. I CALLED GMC 1-800 # THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A PROBLEM..LOOK IT UP ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET..
DASHBOARD IS CRACK FOR NO REASON BUT DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT HAPPENED.
WE HAD ARRIVED HOME FROM SHOPPING THAT EVENING. MY GIRLFRIEND WAS THE LAST TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, BECAUSE SHE WAS GOING TO EACH SIDE PICKING UP TRASH WITHIN THE VEHICLE. THE DASH WASN'T CRACKED, TWO DAYS LATER SHE ENTERED THE VEHICLE TO RUN ERRANDS AND NOTICE THE DASH CRACKED SHE RETURNED TO THE HOUSE AND QUESTIONED EVERYONE THAT HAD BEEN IN THE VEHICLE THAT DAY AND NO ONE NOTICE THE CRACK.
PLASTIC DASHBOARD IS CRACKING. GMC DEALER QUOTED A $1,000.00 REPLACEMENT COST. DEALER PROPOSED MY COST WOULD BE $600.00. SAME DEALER REPLACED CRACKED DASHBOARD ONCE BEFORE AT NO COST TO ME. THIS CERTAINLY APPEARS TO BE A MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT BUT DEALER DISAGREES.
CRACK FORMING ON DASHBOARD NEAR LEFT CORNER OF AIRBAG. MY DENALI IS ALWAYS PARKED IN A GARAGE AND I STARTED NOTICING IT LAST MONTH. I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE POST THEIR DASHBOARD PICS WITH THE SAME CRACK.

DASH BOARD HAS TWO CRACKS. ONE IS NEAR PASSENGER AIR BAG THAT COULD CAUSE MALFUNCTION OF ITEM AND THE OTHER IS NEAR THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. BOTH CRACKS ARE REPORTED TO BE CAUSED BY OVER TIGHTEN OF BOLTS BY THE MANUFACTURE. THIS IS NOT ONLY THE YUKON BUT THE TAHOE AS WELL. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THE PROBLEM TO GM BUT THERE IS NO FIX BUT A FULL REPLACEMENT AT THE COST OF THE CONSUMER. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN WITH THE DASH BY THE AIR BAG AND ALSO THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE IF THIS FURTHER CRACKS AND FALLS. *TR
WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, WAS LOADING THE VEHICLE WITH GROCERIES AND COULD NOT GET THE BACK LEFT DOOR CLOSED, WAS VERY UNSAFE COULD NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE LIKE THAT, NOW THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR ON THE LEFT SIDE IS DOING THE SAME THING, VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX, WAS TOLD THE RUBBER WAS DEFECTIVE AROUND BOTH DOORS AND THE LATCHES WERE RUSTED WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THE DOOR FLEW OFF AND HIT SOMEONE ON THE HIGHWAY? WHO WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE? I THINK THIS ISSUE SHOULD HAVE DEFINITELY BEEN ON A SAFETY RECALL, NOW OF COURSE, THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. *TR
