The tire right side behind the passenger sit just blow off when I was driving in the exit 232, I 15 with direction to South, Antelope DR. When that happened without any sign that the tire showed any issue at all, I was afraid that could happen when I drive in a highway by 75 miles by hour. For that reason, I replace the four tires.
My 2023 Nissan Rogue had recorded tread wear from 3 mm to 4 mm of tread left from my maintenance printouts I received from my dealer that started at around 16,000 miles (November 2024) despite having my vehicle serviced at a Nissan Service facility as per the recommended maintenance schedule from Nissan Motors. This was a potentially very dangerous situation with possible snow conditions that are associated with New England Winters. My tires were also rotated on a regular basis as well as per the recommended maintenance schedule for my 2023 Nissan Rogue. The tires that came with my car orignally were the Dunlop GrandTrek. I waited as long as I could to purchase a new set of tires because they were costly and I didn't have the money. My total bill came out to around $1,300 which included a recommended four wheel drive wheel alignment.
On [XXX], I bought a 2023 Nissan Rogue Platinum from Car Max, East Haven, CT with 15,500 miles on it, original tires. We noticed the Dunlap GrandTrek PT20 235/55R19 101V treads were warn for only 15,500 miles. Took the car on [XXX] to Town Fair Tire, Milford, CT to measure treads and they agreed that they were too warn for 15,500 miles. Their report showed remaining tread life FL-1, FR-1, RL-1, RR-1 and suggested I had one month left. I then took it to Paul Miller Nissan, Black Rock, CT [XXX] where their report showed "May require future attention" LF 5, RF 5, LR 4, RR 4 and said I WILL need tires before winter. Contacted Good Year claim number [XXX] and had the tires inspected by Jordan of Modern Tires, Shelton, CT who contacted Good Year after inspection. He got a response of tires not covered, too bad for you from Good Year. I'm [XXX] now because how can a 1 year old car with 15,500 miles need new tires? This is [XXX] (sorry) INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
DUNLOP GRANDTREK PT21 235/60/R18 TIRES WERE TAKEN OFF WITH 3MM OF TREAD LEFT AT THE TIME THE VEHICLE HAD 5K MILES ON IT, TIRES WERE ON FROM FACTORY. THE TIRES WOULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO FISHTAIL AND OR HYDROPLANE, A FEW TIMES WE ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, THANK GOD WE HAD AND ANGEL WATCHING OVER US, AND WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL. WE PUT A WARRANTY CLAIM INTO DUNLOP FOR THE TIRES, THEY DENIED IT!!! MEANWHILE, I ORDERED A SET OF WINTER TIRES TO REPLACE THESE BALD TIRES, AS NEW YORK STATE WINTER SETS IN, I NEEDED TO BE SAFE! I HAVE A FRIEND THAT BOUGHT HER VEHICLE 3 DAYS AFTER ME AND HER TIRES ARE THE SAME WAY! TO THE POINT WHERE SHE TRADED! THE PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED AT A DEALERSHIP WHEN THE WINTER TIRES WERE PUT ON. THE COMPANY OF THE TIRES DIDNT ASK FOR PICTURES OR ANYTHING JUST DENIED THE CLAIM SAYING IT MUST BE A SUSPENSION ISSUE BUT PRIOR TO FINDING THE TIRES BEING BALD IT WAS AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE THEY FOUND EVERYTHING AS IT SHOULD BE, EXCEPT THE TIRES WERE LOW ON TREAD.
