WHILE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE DOWN THE ROAD AT 55MPH, THE VEHICLE WILL JUST CUT OFF FOR NO REASON, THEREBY I LOSE CONTROL OF LL THE VEHICLE SAFETY COMPONETS,HAVING TO TRY AND GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. THIS HAPPENS TO A LOT OF GM VEHICLE MADE IN THIS VEHICLE YEAR. THERE ARE MANY ON THE INTERNET WITH THE SAME VEHICLE DEFECT. THIS IS CLEARLY A GM VEHICLE DEFECT. THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE RECALL AS A PUBLIC SAFETY HAZZARD. MYGM REFERENCE NUMBER IS ( 8-3665783770). SO PLEASE DO THE PUBLIC A SERVICE AND HAVE THIS VEHICLE RECALL , BECAUSE THIS PROBLEM IS A PUBLIC SAFETY HAZZARD. NO ONE MECHANIC SEEN TO BE ABLE TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS AFTER THEY SAY MY VEHICLE, SPENT LOTS OF MONEY ,BUT NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHAT CAUSES THIS PROBLEM, INCLUDING GM.

CONSUMER STATES ENGINE FIRES START ON EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND NOT SPARK PLUGS WIRES. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED PLASTIC HEADLIGHT LENSES FOGGED UP TO THE POINT THAT MADE THEM USELESS AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST AND FAILED. ALSO, THE REAR VALVE COVER WAS LEAKING. *JB

ALSO, WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE WAS DIFFICULT TO STOP. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THREE UNKNOWN SENSORS FROM THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING RACK AND PINION BECAME DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.

CAR STARTED MAKING A CLUNCKING NOISE. PARKED CAR TILL SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK CAME IN. TOOK CAR TO GARAGE WHERE I FOUND OUT THAT I NEED A SWAY BAR, CONTROL ARM BUSHING AND TIE ROD (RIGHT SIDE). UPON CALLING FOR PRICES, I FOUND OUT THAT MANY CARS OF THIS MODEL ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I THINK THEY GOT A BAD BATCH OF SWAY BARS. BEING ON DISABILITY, THE COST ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND THE REPAIRS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE AS OF YET, LEAVING DISABLED PEOPLE WITH NO TRANSPORTATION FOR MEDICAL CARE. *NM
VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TO CURE A HARD STEERING PROBLEM. VEHICLE WAS HAVING TROUBLES TURNING TO THE RIGHT. REPAIR SHOP FOUND THE STEERING RACK WAS LEAKING. MANY OTHER OWNERS OF THIS VEHICLE HAVE ALSO SUBMITTED COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME PROBLEM. GM SHOULD RECALL THIS VEHICLE FOR THIS PROBLEM. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHEN TURNING AT SPEEDS BELOW 15 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD STICK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP. THE REPAIR SHOP IS FLUSHING THE STEERING SYSTEM AND ADDING A CONDITIONER. THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM BEFORE CHANGING THE RACK AND PINION.

STEERING IS HARD TO TURN AT LOW SPEEDS. HAVE HEARD POPPING SOUNDS. POWER STEERING FLUID IS GOOD. WHEN BRAKING CAR PULLS TO THE LEFT, WHEN LETTING OFF THE BRAKE THE STEER WHEEL TURNS. LOST STEERING ALL TOGETHER AFTER POPPING AGAIN OCCURRED; STEERING WHEEL SNAPPED AND SPUN FREELY. LOST ALL CONTROL OF CAR. *AK
I HAVE A 2000 GRAND PRIX GT. I HAD TROUBLE WITH THE POWER STEERING WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE. WE STARTED NOTICING POPPING NOISES AS I WAS DRIVING AND ON 2/1/05 AFTER MAKING A TURN I AGAIN HEARD A POP AND LOST THE STEERING ALL TOGETHER. IN 2000 AND I BELIEVE THIS WAS NOT ACCIDENTAL IN ANYWAY-I ASKED FOR MY BROTHER TO COME TO MY HOME IN 1999 BECAUSE OF PEOPLE WHO WOULD NOT GET OUT OF MY HOME IN ANAHEIM-MY TOYOTA CRESSIDA IN 1990 OR SO HAD BEEN HIT WITH SOMETHING IN MY OWN DRIVEWAY WITHOUT ANYONE GETTING THE ANAHEIM POLICE OR GO OVER TO THE NEIGHBORS ON BOTH ENDS-I HAD THEIR KIDS OVER FOR DINNER NUMBEROUS TIMES- OF THE STREET ON WILKEN WAY -W THESE PEOPLE WERE PRACTICING TACKING HOUSES USING PEOPLE THEY KNEW, TO GET MONEY FROM YOUR HOUSE-THEY ALL HAD MY PHONE NUMBER AND NONE OF THEM CALLED TO PROTECT OUR HOUSES.
