But clearly this same issue happened to me as the plastic shroud smoked and melted and would've started a fire if I hadn't noticed it starting up in the driveway. Please investigate further and I hope this report saves 2014 owners from significant damage like mine had occur.
The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500 Promaster. The contact stated that the oil cooler filter failed and caused coolant to mix with the engine oil. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer but was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted or notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.
